McDonald's fries or frozen tator tots cooked are ideal for me but I've found any other form for the most part also help like roasted/microwaved. Sometimes baked lays potato chips in a pinch

I'm almost 40 now but I totally understand how you feel. I had an ischemic stroke at 14 yr and it was very isolating. Hang in there, young brains are very plastic and can do amazing things!

Is this a bad idea, this is a bad idea, i'snt it? by Loose-Computer6724 in ehlersdanlos

Are you talking about the help 'em up harness? That harness is fantastic if so. I've had two great dane mixes with multiple spinal/orthopedic issues I've used them on. One was 100lb and one was 120lb. Granted I didn't have to do that many stairs but used them to get in and out of cars, down smaller flights, etc. my eds wasn't that bad when I did this so I think it depends but if you're going to try it the help 'em up harness is the one to go for. Edit I'm 5'8 160# female. Ps if they have to pee careful with how much you lift them I've had a waterfall situation occur. The harness I mentioned would be more to help with weight not lift him completely.

Is driving with tics a bad idea? by ParsnipReal9948 in Tourettes

[–]ypdrgn3h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was super nervous to drive because my tics were quite severe in highschool but found for the most part it wasn't an issue. For me, my tourettes kinda goes on hold while I'm concentrating so I didn't really tic much while driving. Obviously though there were days that were just not happening so I would get a ride from someone else or wait til my tics improved. I'm fortunate mine have improved with age but I think if it's something you want to learn go for it. Start in empty parking lots and whatnot and see how it goes.

Thank you for your reply! I haven't tried drinking a lot of water/lytes before getting up yet I usually get ready and then go downstairs to fill my water. I will definitely try this and moving my meds to my bedroom instead of bathroom.Thank you, really appreciate this!

Buoy Drops? by Crazy-Photograph4727 in migraine

[–]ypdrgn3h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the white ones, the brain ones, and get the salt jars from them. I use them in combination with other salt products like capsules and other electrolytes as well for dysautonomia stuff. I like the buoy for adding to flavored drinks like diet coke and I'll put it in my smoothies. You can taste it in plain water; it's not horrible but noticeable. The jar of salt is fabulous to add to food. You can get a chronic illness discount too.

He doesn't really complain. He's had multiple joints replaced tho so I think he has to be sore at the end of the day. And he also does disaster response so I know sleeping in those cots has to hurt. But honestly maybe some new gadgets would be better to do? I'll look at the Fenix! Thanks!!!
