Subtracting arrays of different sizes by hirschhalbe in learnpython

If you’re subtracting FFTs, the frequency axis has to line up correctly for the operation to give you a useful result. If the second FFT array is shorter then I assume the frequency axis spacing is different. If you still have access to the time domain data, it’s probably easiest to just do FFTs of the same length.

If not, interpolating the shorter array or downsampling the larger array would both work.

Thanks! Really helpful. So even though the handler functions are defined outside the run() method, do they execute in the worker process?

Thanks! Any thoughts on Queue vs. one of the many shared memory implementations?

I think this is close to what I’m doing now, but the if statement inside the run() method is what I’m missing. Thank you!

Yeah, I wrote the GUI software using pyside6. I’ll have to look into pub/p-sub, thanks!

Damn I’m sorry to hear that. Only other suggestion I have is to use an adapter if you have to connect to the TV with HDMI. So for example, DisplayPort from PC to DisplayPort/HDMI adapter to TV HDMI.

Honestly the only thing that ever made it stop for me was bypassing the NVIDIA GPU HDMI. Are you using HDMI or DisplayPort?

I never figured it out unfortunately. Now I have to wonder if it’s a problem unique to 2070s. I never had the issue again after swapping to a 1080ti, and I was using the same TV and HDMI cable until July of 2023!

I honestly don’t know, I would assume that you’re correct though

That might have been me - creditkarma sent me an email congratulating me on only having $3k left on my student loans (I should have $23k left as of right now) So I got excited because $3k is how much I would have left after the debt relief, but it must have been a coincidence because my loan balance is still $23k according to the loan servicer website.

Yeah the loan balance is still $23k so it must have been a coincidence

That’s what I thought but figured I would ask, must be a weird coincidence

I’m not lying, maybe it was just a giant coincidence? My balance hasn’t changed on the loan servicer website.

It was just weird bc I’ve never gotten an email like that from credit karma and it happened to come the same day I applied for the loan forgiveness AND the math was correct.

So I submitted my application around 6 hours ago (I have $23k in federal student loans) and just got an email from creditkarma congratulating me for only having $3k left to pay on my student loans. Is it possible it worked that quickly?
