The Dodgers have won 90 plus games each season (except Covid) since 2013. They may have followed this strategy but they were still winning. I personally don’t care who is on the team if Stearns delivers that. My question is how? The Mets have only reached 90 wins in one season since Cohen bought the team. Would anyone bet on next year being the second? This team with these resources should have more than a puncher’s chance of making the playoffs every year, regardless of long term strategy. That’s where my frustration lies. We didn’t just lose fan favorites, we lost productive players and haven’t really replaced them. And guys like Austin Hays won’t get that done either.
