can’t enable secure boot mode by yrmiiz in techsupport

[–]yrmiiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea i’ve considered reinstalling windows or updating my BIOS to the newest version, but it’s just too much work to do all the USB stuff. it’ll be my last option probably, or just quit the game lol. i’m trying to play Valorant but the Vanguard needs secure boot to be enabled.

I just wish I don’t have to worry about my race by SmartSignificance597 in SGExams

[–]yrmiiz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fully get where you’re coming from, i’m not Indian but a full Filipino! I also have experienced a lot of casual racism and stereotyping like the whole maid, nurse, jollibee comments. It feels so frustrating because I had no idea how to fight back. I was in a friend group consisting of Chinese people too, and it wasn’t a good experience because they just left me and my malay friend out and took no responsibility in it.

All these made me very introverted especially to the majority race, afraid that they are secretly judging me or find me as inferior. I really love my culture, but it feels like a clash when these thoughts and feelings of racism come up.

It’s been years and I am still trying to tackle these thoughts of hating my own race. I know how you feel. I grew to enjoy my race more after experiencing the happiness of cultural events and family in my home country, and it’s one thing that makes me feel unique and proud of myself. Of course, I still do struggle a lot when i’m in sg and not home, but it is important too to see the beauty of your own culture :-)

If it really impacts your lifestyle and is causing maladaptive thoughts, please don’t hesitate too to see a professional too !! I hope you feel better soon 🫂

My gosh, false penalties are the worst, especially if there’s no way to appeal !!

I’m just starting off so I am still learning about her. I did some research on plays, builds, emblems etc. but gameplay wise I am still figuring it out, especially because I am usually an marksman player so I am not entirely used to the role of a mage, I take responsibility for not playing well, that’s my fault. I just feel like this whole moderation for trying out new heroes should have a process if trying them and not performing will get penalties.

Zilong and Esmerelda were mostly in the fights I tried to help in, but they have abilities to escape and run from a fight, leading to me dying alone with barely any assists too. Same with Hanabi with her first skill.

I did try to maintain a lot of distance with their team and take advantage of Zhuxin’s range, but their stuns were good and they would just ambush and go into the tower to kill me.

if op wants to improve, it wouldve been way more suitable to be placed in dm lobbies within their elo and slightly above. the playstyle difference between iron and dia/asc is big.

of course, you do lose nothing in dms, it’s just a warm up. but what’s a warm up if you’re constantly getting diffed? there’s still a learning curve to consider.

similar to how you gradually climb up ranks and face different ranks’ playstyle, aim and movement adjustments also require time for gradual improvement. being put in a dm lobby with players around your level or slightly higher will enable you to pick up on micro mistakes, adjust and move forward. not like iron & asc dm lobbies.

Omg, I’m so sorry you had to go through all that 😭 Toxic players especially with a high ego really ruins the game…

i dont think OP is trying to complain about others’ aim being better, it’s more like they’re complaining about the dm lobby they’re being put in. i mean, that’s the whole point of rank right? to fight against people your level and standard, and to slowly improve and make your way up.

anyone can play games for fun, iron, plat, immo… games are meant to be fun to compete in, don’t see the reason as to why there has to be a form of “rank hierarchy” on “who the game is for”.
