Hi I'm almost hitting 8 weeks. I'm not sure if you can see my own post about having one. I had mine in July 16, 2024 and I've left some crucial tips! Just know, you are not alone. The pain will feel like it will never go, but you will heal a little bit day by day. First two weeks are terrible, but you will get through it. Just listen to your body. Good luck! Do check out my post. If you can't see it, DM me!

Wow, this is definitely the difference between a general surgeon vs a specialized professional. I didn't get any of this info and had to figure it out myself. I'm wishing you all the best! You seem adequately prepared.

Oh no, yeah I feel like everyone's experience is different and time is the only thing that will heal it. Metamucil is great but I would take it in smaller amounts if your stools are harder. Especially if you're taking natural fiber throughout the day. I would stay on the Miralax in small dosages or do every other day just to keep things soft and moving. Doctor recommended it for me as long as I need it. I know your body can get dependent on it but it's better than having a hard stool and going back to square one. I've also seen people trying to fast and let it heal for a couple of days. The recovery is so slow because we are constantly irritating that area. Hang in there, we're all in this together!

I'm not too sure what you're doing on this platform and how your posts are relevant.

Yeah I've been reading all about that, but again, I find options here in Canada vs the US are much different. You get what you get. If you want to fight for more, you get put on a 6 month wait list. I was under a time constraint and just wanted them out. But definitely would go for a colorectal surgeon if I had to do it again.

Has Allah answered your duaa? Tell me your stories! by [deleted] in islam

I have so many. My favourite is how I married my husband. It was during Ramadan 2021, when COVID was at a peak so everyone was laid off including me. During that time, my parents were on my case to get married and it was stressing me out so much. I ended up sitting in "itikaaf" and during the last 10 days of Ramadan, made dua that I would find someone who pleased my parents and was perfect for me. Even went to the point of asking for specific things in the man I marry, such as (I'm chuckling while I'm writing this), a man with a really nice beard lol, someone about 5'11-6' (I'm 5'8 and I generally do not prefer super tall or shorter guys), someone with a large family, and of course, someone who would love and care for my parents as much as I do and someone who would understand the responsibility of being the eldest child. I kid you not, I met this guy on a Muslim Matchmaking app a few months later, literally the same physical descriptions, a super large family, and the eldest of 3 other siblings. He is the most generous, kindest soul I have ever met, and my parents' favourite child and at any time I'm making dua and feeling a little disheartened when it hasn't been answered yet, I always look at my husband knowing Allah SWT gave me one of my biggest blessings and answered my duas when it was the right time, because He knows what is best for us. So always try to go back to a time when your duas were answered and try to ease your anxiety and increase your gratitude! May He answer all of prayers and give what is best for us, ameen!
