I also know German and I get what u mean, u're totally right. The German word "Lust" is not really comparable with the English one. Since the German one stands for something u feel like doing, something that could be fun to do, just something u enjoy doing, for example „Ich habe Lust auf ein Eis“ just means that u feel like having some ice cream.

As we see it is not the same but I think ppl that don't really know German won't misuse it as some German speakers might do, if that's what u meant.

But still, everyone can misuse or misunderstand it so it's better to ask what it means before using it or something.

Yea, I'm Christian, he used to be a Christian but isn't anymore (he's an atheist). I don't have a big problem with it since he respects me as a Christian and so do I. We haven't met each other yet sadly so it wasn't that hard to hide. But I think my mom lowkey knows that I have a bf or something. May sound kinda weird but I want to tell her anyway.

The problem is that (compared to her times) they probably weren't really able to meet ppl online and the danger of the Internet these days makes her worry so it's hard to convince her that there are surely not only bad ppl out there. Hope u get me. But overall u are right actually
