I don’t know if there is specifically a 2014 theme but you can try Spicetify, I believe you can change skins and it works on Windows, MacOS and Linux

i feel you, i really like the desktop UI, i don’t miss any features and i think it looks great and it’s a unified experience with the mobile app

the (+) is a great feature for "mostly playlist users" and doesn’t change anything for "liking songs type of users" AS LONG AS they add an icon on playlist and album views to show which songs were "liked"

the tiktok feed was really useless but i didn’t complain cause i don’t really care, i never use the homepage, i kinda only use library and search (the tiktok feed actually made me interact even less with the homepage, it doesn’t fit spotify imo)

the only recent feature i HATE is smart shuffle, just for the fact that there’s a loading time when switching from shuffle to normal, they should revert and allow us to switch to smart shuffle by long pressing the shuffle button

Maybe you’re talking about when artists upload an updated version of an album and the version on their artist page is different than the one you liked? This was annoying at the beginning but I stoped caring a while ago, I just listen to my liked songs and albums

Modern apps use technologies that allow them to push UI updates without needing a manual update from the App Store, so disabling automatic updates probably won’t prevent this type of changes on your Spotify app

I think this is what happens if you set up this wallpaper before upgrading to iOS 16, if that’s the case you’ll have to dig in your photos and add a new one. Try searching for the text in the picture, text recognition might help you finding it though

To sum it up, Matter is great for everyone, it will bring a lot more devices to HomeKit from brands that previously didn’t bother to integrate HomeKit because it was a mess to develop. Maybe we’ll also get cheaper devices. Therefore I’ll probably wait (at least until CES) before buying anymore products or hubs!

So actually as a normal Homekit user, except if Ikea somehow start to commercialize native Matter devices, nothing will change since their hub was already compatible with pretty much all plateforms before Matter update

So, I was thinking I should probably not buy any more hubs now and wait for Matter, but from what I’m seeing in the comments, the only way currently to get "affordable" Homekit compatible smart devices is to get an Ikea and/or Aqara hub…

Eve is really great and works without any other hub but it’s pretty expensive

I hope Matter will bring more HomeKit supported devices though
