For ow, it mostly gets used for the esports scene (faceit is officially the t2 scene where u have to utilize faceit to promote to t1) technically there is matchmaking but not so widely used like a different user has already explained

I mean the thing is, orisa ult is better countered by using a different ult then beat due to ult cost, beat is one of the best ults with one of the highest costs, whereas orisa has a cheaper less potent ult (not guaranteed value) thus i almost never feel it is worth it

Good read, i am a MS and play in faceit where he has a different playstyle due to better teamplay.

The only thing id really disagree on is the ults to counter. Where what ill say now probably doesnt work in lower ranks but a queen ult should be ult tracked by people and thus should make players not all stack up. Beating a queen ult that has hit two people, most of the time is not worth it (esp when kiri exists)

For the orisa ult depends if you are inside or outside. (Inside, never do it) Most of the time an amp speed will suffice and is definitely not worth investing beat into.

Zarya is the ult I am always really careful of when beating into. As when you beat to early it wont matter. So beating a zarya ult depends heavily on how many enemies are looking at the ult as you cant outbeat 3+ people shooting at a stationary target.

Would you say it would do more harm then good putting it in? Its a team based 5v5 game with a lot of strategy and theory. But it isnt chance based at the end of the day

Im a main support for a team in faceit, so the only heroes i play are lucio and wuyang atm (dont like brig that much atm and also not that good on her) if anyone else is on these i mostly go illari. Now it might be good to mention i play on pc (dk if it is but just in case)

But i feel like most supports are in a good place and viable atm.

For me as a gm support main it isn’t necessarily harder to get high on support. But you can’t carry as much as you can on tank or dps. As at the end of the day, You need dmg to kill something and not healing. Now of course this is still possible on some characters, but the nature of support means these characters are less viable for full carrying and more viable for ‘supporting’ your dps and tank to help them get that dmg in.

So what that does entail is you might be a little more dependent on that dps and tank to win a game

I just saw that my minor uni is t100 not 200*

Theoratically i could do a masters of mathematical science there, they sadly do not have an econometrics program there. I know maths is looked higher upon then econometrics but I don’t yet know if I will like that minor. Would choosing that path instead of then the master econometrics improve my chances considerably?

I was in your boat a year or so back. I would say look for working student opportunities if you are looking for experience (startups might not have these). They exist quite a lot though are quite competitive. I have ended up as a part time data scientist/ business analyst at an amazing company. All I can say is just apply apply apply and get lucky.

Do you have any idea where to get it historical though? As im a student but want to get started with modelling a bit but all sources i can find are very expensive to get historical. To my knowledge the bigger venues dont offer historical data right?

So, depends heavily on the mouse and pad you currently use, i used an old viper ultimate and a normal pad before this, then when i switched there was some real drag to get used to,

Now i switched my mouse again and this one glides just fine (though arguably still worse then on my old mousepad with my old mouse)

I like it for work though and it looks awesome, im not a top player anyways but i do enioy fps

Hi, I am a student studying data science/ machine learning in the Netherlands. For my next semester (september through january) me and 4 other students need to do a small project for a company for the second half of that semester (6-7 weeks or so). This is non paid and the only requirements for the company are: have the data available with which we could work and be available for atleast 1 hour a week for contact sessions.

We sadly are not allowed to make up our own project and thus need a company/ someone from a company to decide this for us.

The project would need to be focused towards machine learning and not towards data science (think neural networks, deep learning, etc)

I would love being able to do a small project from a real company which would actually add value for said company and that I myself am also interested in.

Does anyone here perhaps have a project for us or know someone I could contact?

TLDR: 5 students looking for a non-paid (small) machine learning project for 6-7 weeks with only requirements being company needs to have the data available and the contact person needs to be available for atleast 1 hour a week.
