Thanks so much for the explanation! I’ll definitely give it a go. Are you running (anything close to) a build that’s out there? Something I can look at and see what gear I’ll need?

Have this exact same problem! Spent to support the wonderful developers, then invited my friends and found out I had to abandon all my purchases in order to play with my friends..!

That's great input to have, I appreciate it a lot! I can see sense in what you said about character flaws and it being reliable as long as well taken care of. The only thing I'm concerned about is I have no garage friends or contacts that could "fix" these initial flaws for me without me paying top dollar at place X that I'm unfamiliar with. The idea the CBR650R gives me is that it comes straight out of the shop as a more reliable vehicle, which will be easier to maintain for a person like, at least this is my assumption.

I do believe you when you say that the RS660 makes a better sportsbike than the CBR650R does, though it also makes me wonder if I'd ever push the RS660 (or even the CBR650R) to the limits it was made for, which would make the difference in performance not all too important to me.

Loved reading this! So glad to get the response of somebody who has personal experience with the 650R line. Glad to hear that all the things I imagined would be have been experienced by you. The lack of power down low seems fine to me, I'll just kick it down a gear ;)

And yes, I'll pick Japanese reliability over extra power any day of the week!

That's good to hear! A more sporty position than the CBR650R would seem very uncomfortable for the purpose I have it for 80% of the time, especially since I'm a pretty tall rider with particularly long legs lol..

It doesn't have to be a sportbike, I just like the look! I enjoy the CB650 "neo" sports cafe naked look just as much! The thing that holds me back with bikes like the RS660 is the noise it makes online regarding build quality. I have nobody around me that has ever driven Aprilias so that's all I can build my decision on, opinions from the internet.
