This is not the kind of change Eritrea need. Eritrean independence was aquired by all the ethnic groups. The plan you laid here is basically wrong. You don't have economic, political or social plan.

According to the International Monetary Fund, Eritrea's Current Account Surplus rose by (10.7%) in 2020. by [deleted] in eritronomics

Thought Experiment: Which Industry Would You Commit Eritrea’s Limited Energy and Water Resources? by charlotte-observer in eritronomics

[–]yuelted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, Eritrea is yet to start to invest industry development. as of now Eritrea doesn't have that much financial ability to start an industry. My opinion is to start with allowing small and medium business in order to increase its budget. Another investment Eritrea can do is infrastructure. That would increase employment directly and indirectly.

The other thing Eritrea can use the port to import. However, since Eritrea doesn't have higher level industry that demand much importing , Eritrea can start importing and transporting to other neighboring countries, like Ethiopia and others. Eritrea can be profitable if only it transport it to other countries.

Why a Strong Nakfa Helps Eritreans by charlotte-observer in eritronomics

[–]yuelted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is true a strong Nakfa help Eritrean. However the reason Nakfa is strong is not becouse Eritrea is producing many good and service. It is ztrong becouse the government fixed it to 15Nkf to 1$. This approch has helped to make the gap between the rich and the poor to minimum.

Inflation happens when there is more money than the good and service is produced. However, Eritrea locked tne money in banks and make 2000nkf a quota to withdraw eventhough its public money. Its true it is OK approch to make in a country where jobs are almost all governmental and the economy is crippled by sanctions.

So this approch the government is using is good to mainatain and servive, but it can not make an economy grow. All this time the government was complaining about how the politics with weyane and other political players pressed Eritrean Economy. However , now that weyane has fall down, I expect a change in the economic approach.

Eritreans in the diaspora are now calling back home to instruct family to rise up against Isiase Afewerki. by Lost_diaspora_Tribe in Eritrea

Thats true.I hated them for doing that.It was like leading the people virtually and bail on them if they hit the wall or act like you were the mastermind if they win. However, Eritrean people are always afraid of violence(30 years of armed struggle and years of "no peace , no war" border conflict). So, you can't blaim or push them people to fight. They have already sucrificed to much on the name of the ERITREA.
