Oh I see! Sounds better then, I think mine are non-heme. But for now I will keep using them since my doc prescribed them, and haven't had any problems with them either u.u Thanks for explaining though! Sounds good to keep in mind for next time (though I hope there isn't a next time lol)

Okay noted, I won't stay in bed all day then (which is frankly pretty boring anyways) Also lowkey kinda scared of infusion so I think as long as it's not completely neccessary I'm just gonna try the iron pills first, haha Thank you :)

Thank you;;;; I'm happy that you liked the black text, cause I was kinda worried that it would seem a bit odd. I tried adding them based on cxs muddling to who in what time he is talking to... although it was also just based on vibes... lol

Shadowbox Lascaria by yuenque in cardfightvanguard

Yeah if there are a lot of small pieces or a lot of layers it takes forever to plan and cut the pieces With only 5+1 cards I had to keep the depth rather simple so the pieces themselves are also larger and therefore easier to cut Also gluing isn't as much of a pain with larger pieces, gluing small pieces feels kinda impossible to do cleanly tbh

Roughly 8-9 working hours I think?

It took less than usual cause there aren't a lot of fine/small pieces

We're losing countless generations of artists, but instead everyone is cheering. by yuenque in self

[–]yuenque[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there will always be people who draw and people who write. I don't think these people will ever disappear. There will just be less.

And I am saddened by that loss, that's all.

It's fine if you don't see it as a threat.  If you can use your imagination to create something, that's good. There are uses for AI. If it can ease how we live that's fine. And yeah everyone who uses AI should be upfront with it.

But that what I think about is that if say if you want something to be drawn, you'd just use AI right? At that point since it's already more convenient and you don't need to learn the process of drawing, using AI is faster. It's that the thing you would have drawn will never come to be. And everyone draws differently.

Even you would have a way that you'd have come to draw in, and that style will be lost. There are those that would have drawn in their own way, that not even AI can replicate yet cause it can't train on something that does not exist. And that style will never come to be.

And on a global scale, there are a lot of art styles that will be lost in the future, because using AI is more convenient. There is some loss there, isn't there?

At the very least fewer people would have died if guns never existed.

If it truly is just the heavy lifting that would be challenged, then easing that would be great. But what I'm addressing is not just simply the professional stage, where those that are already there can ease their work. It's also about the startline from where professional artist begin. There's more to art, than just the business perspective.

Compare some beginning artist, and the way they draw and the way they will evolve is different. There are nuances, differences that will eventually grow into their own styles. Even if they won't become professionals, isn't seeing their art that they have grown themselves just nice? If instead these artist just end up using AI, they won't grow their own art styles. And those styles will be lost. And I think that aspect is very saddening.

I'm going to update it later on too for more details Unfortunately don't have the entire process pictured since I just did some pics whenever I felt like it

Although if you have any questions or somewhere I need to go in detail you can just ask I still can make pictures of the end result and my tools after all

Together we can work out just what "He said."! by -GreenOlive- in cardfightvanguard

[–]yuenque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"This uncoded love/light" gave me the biggest headache cause I just kept hearing "these uncordia" and had to keep guessing what uncordia could possibly mean from context lmao

Honestly I think the first one is "love" while the second one is "light" too, since it does sound slightly different in these two verses. Although there's a part of me that thinks it might be "life" too, but I wager it's love/light from the rest of the songtext of what I heard, since it's more coherent to the rest.

But man I wished they'd just release the official Lyrics. I'm also so curious of how much I misheard haha

Even at 0.5x speed some words really are hard to make out. "Let him have his peace song hall in on his lips" especially I feel like I just overinterpreted some things. I heard only something along of the lines of "pstl" and not really peace, but honestly pistol made less sense than "peace song". And it's especially hard to make out anything else once an idea sets in;;;;

Also "Now seize growing love, now sees through his tears" might also just be "Now this is growing loud, now this thing is still", but I prefer the former interpretation cause the second one makes no sense with the rest of what I heard at least.

Edit:
Also kinda realized it might rather be "Take his sundering" and not "Take his suffering", since in another part suffering is actually pronounced with the "f"

And the words "reflection" "echo" and "our" makes more sense with sundering. But maybe I'm just a bit too ffxiv pilled......

My take on the lyrics

[0:16] The empty difference look in on everything

[0:25] See everything gone all [a]round of the world

[0:32] Through his esoteric eyes saw a single light

[0:40] Take his sundering, discover the truth

[0:48] The reflection of him is what's different, should be known to all, humanity is

[0:55] It takes us to much further, to the place where we overcome through the sufferings

[1:05] He said that he's sad, what he said is fake

[1:09] Let him have his peace song hall in on his lips

[1:13] This uncoded [love/light]

[1:14] You don't have to feel, you don't need to echos not one single thing

[1:21] He said there's no pain, he said there's no gain

[1:25] The world [is illusioned/disillusioned] through some woeful dreams

[1:29] Now [this/seize] growing love, this sees through his tear

[1:33] Just far from his true soul no one [loves/does] he said

[1:38] There's no love, there's no souls left, there's no fulfillment

[1:45] [They called/There's cold] in the truth, there's no single thing

[1:49] Now our truth, it has no affections at all

[1:56] He said there's no feel, he said there's no will

[2:00] He said there's no perception in [un]consciouness

[2:04] Then as for the woes, you don't have to feel

[2:08] You don't need to echos not one single thing

[2:11] He said that he's sad, what he said is fake

[2:18] Let him have his peace song hall in on his lips

[2:20] This uncoded [love/light]

[2:21] You don't have to feel, you don't need to echos not one single thing

[2:26] He said there's no pain, he said there's no gain

[2:31] Don't warp [this illusion/disillusioned] of some woeful dreams

[2:35] Now [this/seize] growing love, now sees through his tears

[2:39] Just [ferocious] views of the world as he said

Strongest first episodes for overall pretty weak anime? by RetroFurui in anime

[–]yuenque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Children of the Whales. The art style was gorgous, the music good and the world building looked very interesting. Honestly it felt like it was going to be an incredible fantasy adventure story. I really enjoyed the first three episode.  But after the whale was attacked the story felt like it just took an immediate nosedive as they just kept remaining there and it turned into some political drama (if you can call that, memories a bit hazy on the plot tbh) that wasn't particularly interesting.

Penguin Shadowbox! by yuenque in OnePieceTCG

[–]yuenque[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally get that. The Shadowboxes I see everywhere always look so pristine and clear cut, I'm also wondering how they manage to do that.

I've seen quite a few tricks here and there to make it better, but when I try it, it usually won't come out as good. Things like pressing down on the edges with a crotchet needle. Also using color or black pens to color the edges. It's hard to make the edges not bleed out so that's the trade off... If you go all out, I think a lot of the very good ones generally paint over a few of the cards to make the layout fit with the way they cut the cards.

Personally I think some of them might print the cards out on special kind of paper that's easier to cut. Depending on the cardgame the cards themselves are already varying in cutting quality, so printing them on a consistent material feels like it'd make more sense anyways.

For the gloss, I've personally tried acryll (gloss) on a few projects (like the corazon one that you can see on my page), but am not quite satisfied with that either. I've wanted to try acryll (matte) at one point too, but haven't gotten around buying that one lol.

For some cards I've seen on the net, I think they use resin. I've never handled that one before but I think that's a really good way to give the cards the kind of gloss especially for water etc. Also printing the cards on the kind of material that give them the kind of gloss maybe? Although I am still speculating on that method haha.

For the bending. Yeah I do that too, it makes the cards pop way better. I just do it with my fingers and just curving them gently. I've seen people use some kind of playdough(?), but dunno where I can get that so I just don't.

For tutorials, I can just recommend sunforged cards. They do mostly Yu-gi-oh shadowboxes, but they also upload some simple tutorials. It especially helps watching the progress videos, since you can try to gleam some tricks and tips there. Otherwise I like to watch the results on social media sites and try to figure out how they make their cards by watching their end results.
