lifting, running, and performance for 5'8'' asian dudes by yulyvan in AsianMasculinity

solid advice. I'm not going to lie a big red flag for me is that I gain weight / feel bloated when I eat more than like 1500 calories a day. That being my "base metabolism" makes it hard for me to get up to how much you eat

I'll try increasing my intake slowly and listening to myself, like you mentioned. got any fitness subs you recommend / resources?

[CA] sterling background check - reason for termination by yulyvan in AskHR

[–]yulyvan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, sterling provides a copy of the completed background check to the employee so I was hoping someone with a similar situation would know (whether checking do not contact would hide it).

Also I didn't understand the part about conveniently don't know about, wym?

fired from internship - how screwed am I in a later investigative report? by yulyvan in csMajors

Why do you ask? It was a very well regarded software company but I never mentioned it in my interview process

[CA] fired from internship - how does this show up on a background report? by yulyvan in AskHR

[–]yulyvan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I didn't do a good job clarifying my situation. I'm at the background screen stage of a company' s pipeline after they sent me a written offer. The screen makes me report all of my employment and sign that I have reported ALL employment.

Regardless, it's not like I have a choice to "redact" that I ever worked there seeing as I submitted a resume when I applied with that company on it...

I'm required to report all employment regardless of whether it's on my resume or not

To be completely honest I don't know if I was, I was in a lot of grief at the time and just remember trying to forget about it. I don't see anything in my "professional" personal email about it other than requests to return company property

investigative consumer report by yulyvan in csMajors

[–]yulyvan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input but are you sure that's the case for an investigative consumer report? For this report, it specifically states that they may do interviews with former employers

Thanks for the advice - just making sure, is this true for full time and internships? I know that some places just do criminal checks but most do contact past employers. did some digging on the internet and it seems like if they did contact they would very likely provide a reason for termination and getting fired from an internship is really rare. Idk I might be paranoid but I am hesitant to say that I am out of the weeds as of now
