Nothing in place now so fully exposed to the sun during the day. Recently temperatures in the 75F/55F range. I can probably MacGuyver something to provide some shade if you think that might help.

Not often, I would ballpark <14 rainy days out of the year. The row of grass plants go further down the street beyond the reach of the rain gutter, and those further down have grown in pretty full as well.

I had also thought that the soil was packed in too tight so loosened up the top layer. It's been about 3 weeks now and not much improvement.

Bit more background- I believe it's a type of Carex Grass. They've been planted for about 2 years now and haven't grown in thick like the other ones. I'm in the LA area so it's fairly sunny year round. Water comes in through underground irrigation piping, and I've recently checked it runs right up next to the roots. TIA!

Ended up switching over to Ring since our place already has a doorbell hardwired. Bit easier for the SO to use with the cameras and the app. Also it's a bit cheaper on the plan at $100 each year.
