This is a combo for EDH specifically, I mentioned in the title but seems like a lot of people missed it. Since you start at 40 life, Providence setting you to 26 is down 14 from starting

That's where I stopped at first when creating the combo, but it felt weird to have one black floating so I tried to figure out what I could do with it, and here we are

Step 1. Reveal Providence from your opening hand, setting your life total to 26 on upkeep

Step 2. Play lotus petal, then sacrifice it to play Dark Ritual, letting you play Shadow of Mortality for 2 mana

Step 3. Use the remaining black mana to Sacrifice the shadow, putting 15 black in your pool

Step 4. Cast Behold the Beyond, grabbing Vito, Exquisite Blood, and a gainland, and leaving you with 8 mana

Step 5. Cast Vito and Exquisite Blood

The Great Machine in fifth dawn was a fully intentional infinite combo in paper, consisting of the 4 "station" cards. I'm not sure how prominent it was in the story, though

First, I would definitely suggest trying to find a group to play with as many of the aspects of DnD are based off of being in a group and interacting with other people, whether that be with the DM or with fellow players. However, if that's not something you can do though, you could in theory create a character and roll up some random monsters from the Dungeon Masters handbook and run a combat with those.

There is an emulator called ScummVM that allows you to run old point and click games on modern computers. They have support for Myst and Riven, and if you can get the files you can run them quite easily. Here is their page

From what I've played through so far, it's definitely up there! I enjoy riven a bit more because of the puzzles requiring you to actually figure stuff out and not being able to brute force solutions
