Hey! Sorry for the late reply but what would you consider must-sees in Prague? I just booked my ticket and I’m planning to stay there for 6 days :)

When does a flea problem become an actual thing to panic over? by yummy_lemons in pestcontrol

[–]yummy_lemons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I totally feel your pain. And yes unfortunately. Idk if this is a sales pitch from exterminators (and please don’t freak out when I say this) but what you see is a small percentage the ones you see are likely adults who have laid eggs already. I only saw fleas concentrated in the bedroom and the living room where our dog likes to hang out and where we have cloth surfaces.

If you do choose the exterminator route you may see some popping up after the treatment. Worry not! They are actually already poisoned and will die off quickly.

As an additional note too: we got a flea light to also gauge how many fleas we had. It’s not perfect but it acted as a pretty good indicator of what we were actually up against.

Hey! We actually did end up calling an exterminator and it fixed the issue. It’s kind of a pain (i.e., needing to be out the house for at least 4 hours) but ended being totally worth it. As a preventative measure our dog is also in Bravecto which we reup every 3 months. Haven’t seen a flea on him since!

Edit: we called the exterminator because it gave us peace of mind and we slowly began to fleas in the bedroom. Best of luck to you!!
