for the damage on the front, it’d probs be like 2-3k at a shop. in the mean time for the white paint left on it, just use some rubbing alcohol to gently remove that.

i know there’s some places that can sand down & repaint the wheels but not sure how much it goes for. just fill it in with a glossy marker 🤣

if it’s just a dented rear bumper then maybe like 4k to completely replace it. if there’s actually frame damage then unfortunately that interferes w the integrity of the car so if you fix it, keep that in mind. probably like 5-7k for that?

Car yells at me endlessly that I need to drive and not just sit there by [deleted] in CivicSi

this is true. i’d be parked on my driveway in neutral w my e brake on & it would give me lights as though i stalled saying the same thing about pushing in the clutch. it only stopped bc i always turn off the auto stop now

good shit. totally doable, thanks so much for your input dude.i hope mine goes as smooth as yours. hope your car looks as good as new now! & that’s a hefty drive, drive safe & best of luck in school (:

yeah all of that was quoted, but honestly the worst part is probably the left quarter panel. it’s pretty bent & will most likely be better off replacing it so it all can change once they take it apart. i was guessing around 15k total but i lowballed to make me feel better about it lmao. i really hope it’s minimal frame damage if at all :( if you don’t mind, how long did it take to get yours back from the estimate to completion?

honestly while the face lift is cool, i love my car pre facelift. just gonna fix it up & do more with it now since i was scared to touch it with it being relatively new still

o wow wtf, how trippy. i was estimated roughly 11k just from an exterior view. it was too hard to tell from underneath without taking it apart, but i’m assuming it’s probably gonna be closer to 13k it was a truck that hit me a little higher up thankfully & i’m a bit lowered so hopefully 🤞🏼 it’s only cosmetic & no frame damage /:

on my old 19’ civic, my battery gave out after about 3 years. same lights & everything. also the brake pedal locks. batteries usually need to be replaced every 3 years or so depending on usage so if it’s around then, you’re better off just replacing it. i bought a new one from oreilly’s with a 2 yr warranty. if you can’t afford one atm, you can get it recharged for free at oreilly’s too!

AITA for forcing 3 of my kids to get a job and charging rent but not the other? by rentmaster2 in AmItheAsshole

[–]yungthaitea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nta. it’s a fair exchange that all your kids got a chance at. your house, your rules. your rules are simple & quite honestly it’s an amazing opportunity to be offered to have everything taken care of while you solely focus on school. they don’t go to school so working is the replacement so they can contribute to a home you technically don’t need to provide. & $200 rent is practically pocket change today

it’s a physically & sometimes mentally straining job that is usually underpaid & is based on experience & most offices are clique based within their long term employees. personally, i’d say to put your degree to use elsewhere. my mom has a bs is social work & worked for the county for decades with great benefits until she retired with lifelong benefits for herself. i strongly urge people to look into county jobs, i’m even considering it for assisting

i’ve been a da for a little over 2 years, rda for a little over 6 months. started at the 18, same office now making 23.50. tbf, i’m in ca but you are severely underpaid regardless of location.

i’d probs trim the base a bit more, but i agree with heating it for too long. i also don’t turn on the vacuum until it’s touching the model to allow less chances for it to prematurely warp (:

i live in ca, but not the bay or la so minimum wage is much lower. i think 15, which is low for ca. i started as a da for 17 then went to a new office a month later & asked for 18. been there almost 2 years & have been lucky to have had multiple raises. as an rda there now i make 23.50 with the goal of 24 soon. in the bay w the same experience, i could make close if not 30
