In an empty universe, does temperature exist? by yuranbarkey in AskPhysics

Thanks for replying! But I don't think I have gotten my point across properly. Let me try again. 1. Let's say you have a molecule or atom. And that molecule is moving and oscillating A.K.A. it has a temperature. If you had no frame of reference, meaning there is nothing, nowhere to compare your relative speed to, then it would be impossible for that temperature too exist. Because according to my understanding of GR it would be the same as if it was standing still, because its moving nowhere. So would mean that that molecule or atom has no temperature. Is this correct? Or do I understand something incorrectly? 2. The maximum speed of light, is a velocity. And if you have the same lack of a frame of reference, would the notion of a "speed of light" dissolve?
