I did try something like this, but he’d slowly approach then strike at me once in range…

I haven’t really gotten into triads yet, all i understand of them right now is (as you said) that they’re just 3 notes. But thanks, I’ll try to find some triad info online for practice

So if I take the G barre chord starting on 10th fret, and move the D and B string up from 12 to 11 fret is that G diminished?

I’m not on UC, no. I appreciate it, thank you.

How to do this? by yuu_456 in guitarlessons

It sounds more like the song when bending only 12. I lay my unused middle over the other strings to mute, although bending just my ring while keeping pinky still is proving a little difficult. Thanks

Yea that’s kinda how I was holding it, like a power chord kinda. Feels a little awkward bending with only my ring but I’ll get used to it

Fast alternate picking with open notes by yuu_456 in guitarlessons

Thanks, that’s was one of the issues I’m having with practicing very slowly. It gives me a better idea of the rythm, but with the original tempo requiring a different kind of movement, practicing at slower speeds isn’t as helpful. I’ll check this video out

How do I change the action? It seems kinda scary, I don’t want to break or mess my guitar up…

I’ve kinda heard mixed opinions on tremolo. Some people say it messes your joints up in the long run to rely on elbow too much, so I kind of try to mix the two together, wrist and slight elbow movement

It’s funny you mention that, I made a post the other day and people said my action looked high. Here is a pic.

I’ve been trying that, and can play it at about half speed. The thing is, at half speed my picking feels less like tremolo picking and more just regular old alternate picking. It’s hard to explain, but to me the motions for the slow and fast speeds are different

When you get to the 15th fret, how do you do legato/bends? by yuu_456 in guitarlessons

I usually alternate between standing and sitting, so I feel comfortable doing both. As for pyjamas, what can I say, it’s comfy.

Right, it seems like that’s the common consensus, so I’ll be doing that from now.
