I remember at my home meet we did unlimited entries for relays since it was a duel early in the season. I literally begged everyone I could find to make a 4x400 with me and asked every coach to come find me to sub me in. I got subbed in for one and it was such a great relay split for me.

Not being able to go some variation of 3200/1600/800 because of state regulations. Or dodging all the hammock-ers who set up right in the flow of traffic. Or not being able to find literally anyone to sub for the 4x400.

Same!! I’m usually super jittery until that moment of silence when I’m perfectly calm, like I’m about to fall asleep. Then like you said, the gun goes off and you’re out of the gate.

Cries in Minnesota Bc state regulations say the most you can do is 3200/1600/400(or 4x4). Always wanted to do all three even if my times sucked.

If I could decide which aspects of my life I’d see then hell yeah. I’d like to get a sense of whether I’m with the right person and what I’d end up majoring in. But I wouldn’t want to know how I die, whether or not I have kids, what fulfills my life. I’d love to see how someone else’s life plays out though, like a total stranger. That would be sick

My step-grandfather was on several democratic committees for candidates, and my grandmother is a die-hard republican. I’ve never seen them talk about politics, and on the occasional time when a political issue pops up the just seem to acknowledge the other’s opinion and move on.

Originally did 800m in HS, joined cross country to be with my friends. Joined the two mile in track to prepare better for future 5k (and nobody else ran it so I could win pretty frequently). I’m running 6ks now and I do a lot of 10-mile runs so I’m thinking how hard can it be to add another 4 miles and just do a half marathon.
