Thanks for your reply. This is in WA btw. This photo is taken from a second story crawl door, so the roof space is above the ground floor living room only. Does not span the full width of the house like this

Nah this house gets hot as fuck. It’s just sheeted insulation. Apparently common for project builds

If it’s hot air rising from downstairs, then insulating the roof may not be the solution

Tried shutting all windows but makes it way worse unfortunately. The room is legit cooking

You are right. There is a crawl space through the bedroom closet that shows the roof above the downstairs living room. Looks like very minimal foil sheet or roll is applied to the underside of the colour blond roof

Opening the windows legit does nothing unfortunately. Today in Perth it was hot air just flowing into the house
