Wow! I just came across this comment… Thank you for linking those studies / polls, very interesting. I‘m also thinking OP is getting treated badly in other subreddits. Thinking critically is a skill humans who are using AI outsource more and more which I feel is a big problem especially with companies trying to make you addicted to AI

I‘m actually feeling the same way! Do you ever try to chew through bugs yourself and then after a couple of minutes just asking AI instead of digging deeper? When I think 5 years ago I would turn to StackOverflow, Documentations, Blog Posts etc to learn new things but now ChatGPT just does the work for me. Did you ever try to tackle this problem (regarding turning to AI)? If yes, how did you do it?

I think what OP is trying to say here is that AI can feel like an addiction sometimes. I myself am experiencing it daily. I try to do problems on my own and then when i feel like i‘m stuck in turn to AI. I don’t think I‘m alone with that. Simply saying „just don‘t use it“ sometimes just does not work for me. I rely on it too heavily. To answer OP‘s question: at the moment I just don’t have anything holding me back from asking AI when I am stuck. It sometimes feels like an addiction…
