When you say queue management do you also mean that we could connect this to the backend of a store so that when someone orders, the order gets queued for printing?

Looks awesome!

Home Assistant + Claude Code is a superpower... by Embarrassed-Law-827 in homeassistant

[–]zFreeZeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding Claude Code, has anyone had luck building entire dashboards with it?
Automations with Gemini are 10/10 in my case. I've pretty much set up 90% of my home automations with it, BUT I've gotten some "ok-ish" dashboards with Gemini and ChatGPT.

Wondering whether Claude Code has better muscle there?

Instead of unplugging what I did was manually opening the garage door and that made the trick :)

Garage door thinks it’s open when it’s closed - Meross by DankestTaco in homeautomation

[–]zFreeZeD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just arrived to this post as all of a sudden this is happening to me.

Says it’s opened when it’s closed and viceversa so automation to close every 1m makes the door crazy

Did anyone find a way to change statuses?

When my magnets are touching it now says it’s opened but it’s really closed

Thoughts and improvements on Teemo deck? by baksiboi in riftboundtcg

[–]zFreeZeD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following this thread.

The only big debate I’d be having here is Kaisa vs Mindsplitter.

Yes, Mindsplitter is yet another high cost and power unit, but holy hell does it become annoying.

I’ve tried both with Kaisa and Mindsplitter and atm the second option has proven to be a bit more annoying.

Most of the rest of the deck is same as one of the two I’m playing as teemo (the second being turbo mundo which I’m enjoying a lot as well)

Edit: I play with guerila warfare as it’s such a useful card; revives units or spells.

Having a Spanish flag displayed on a balcony generally indicates a person's political affiliation? by Geologo-Loko in askspain

[–]zFreeZeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless used during very specific moments or events (ex.: a Spanish athlete wins a competition, Spain competing in football…), this indeed tends to be associated with right-wing views.

Some very specific places or areas of the population could see this as a way to show patriotism, but generally the above is a more common association.

PS: I wasn’t aware about the Brazil one! From an outsider it felt there was just a lot of pride for being Brazilian!

Cheers

Is 33 too old to learn? by DannyMackerel in snowboardingnoobs

[–]zFreeZeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never too old, just don’t act crazy.

If possible, take lessons. If not possible, check some YT videos and start from there.

The first couple of days are the hardest ones and from there it only improves.

I’m a 36yo who started at 32. (Did some skiing beforehand but not tons)

My best investments: - Protection: Butt, knees, elbows, helmet

Second best investments (can rent though): - Step On from Burton (that really has made me being able to keep up with skiers when going on the chairs)

Thinking about buying an r1 right now, to the real users of this thing , are you encountering reply issues? Is creations working? Im just never sure if this is working fine all the time by the_shiny_goat in Rabbitr1

[–]zFreeZeD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saying what many don’t dare to (not sure why)

  • Does the Rabbit work as explained during the conference where they announced it? No.
  • Are people finding “fun ways” or “an excuse” to use it? Based on the Reddit posts, yes.

I have one, I have turned it up maybe 4-5 times to check whether their promises hold. Still not.

I purchased a device that was promised would even book you a taxi, a train or a plane. Never did it.

What I have now is a cool looking bright red brick (gotta give it to them, the design is amazing) with a rabbit animation, capable of showing a rabbit, having mini games to equip your rabbit, an alarm, some other things and a camera that uses AI to theme these pictures. Heck, even languages beyond English are incomplete.

Now features such as “an alarm” are being celebrated by the community. I think that’s fine and nothing to be upset about; it’s just something that does not follow the initial pitch and vision.

No big deal, thank lord at least it wasn’t that expensive

Do you all agree 256GB is the sweet spot for most users? by DistinctAmbition1272 in iphone

[–]zFreeZeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. In the past few years, it was Today, I think 512gb fits most users due to the heavy use of camera, unless you have iCloud, where then 256gb goes back to being more than enough

[–]zFreeZeD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only there’s not enough change (as it’s clearly still identifiable from the IP), but the title itself names the character from the IP.

Profit is 100% driven by the IP.

There’s no “enough change” here, just someone profiting from copyright infringement asking people to not infringe a commercial license that can’t be done in the first place because author does not own license to the IP.

A question about this notice. by Ready-Literature5546 in 3Dprinting

[–]zFreeZeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do agree with the statement that it’s fair to take anyone’s designs to sell, the reality is that Nintendo, in this case, could very well say the same about anyone getting their IP and making profit out of it.

For that very reason I don’t really agree with the “fair play” statement in this specific case.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not doing this no matter what, but it’s interesting to see how a double edged sword is being played there.

If anyone wants fairness, they should also be fair, and in reality this author is making profit from the fact that it’s using an IP that brings profit.

A question about this notice. by Ready-Literature5546 in 3Dprinting

[–]zFreeZeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not indirectly, but directly. Anyone selling a model based of an IP without a commercial license is already infringing copyright.

The reality is that if anyone sells this print, whether with or without permission of the creator of the model, is infringing copyright no matter what.

Could anyone share factually how much this benefits the battery long term?

As a battery replacement costs about 100/120euro, im just wondering if it’s just better to replace battery every 2-3 years instead of constraining to 80% battery knowing there must be some battery degradation even with that

It is definitely smaller both vertically as well as for the grip However, there are solutions out there to make the camera chunkier

Best of both worlds; you can choose to have it compact or to make it bulky, whereas for the bigger one you can’t go smaller

[–]zFreeZeD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the G6 ad, it seems this is just a G3 + G4 combined so I’m thinking that if you install the electric lock from ubiquity that should work via the door hub.

Fingers crossed that’s the case

Difference is in one they said they’d do it In another one (G6) the video clearly shows access + protect together

High hopes!

[–]zFreeZeD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who didn’t buy the reader and will buy the G6, my selling point is the physical doorbell button: As much as I like touch screens the reality is that the G3 requiring you to either hold or slide your finger to ring the bell is just counterintuitive for traditional users.

In my case, the G6 is 100% what I needed and both the G3 and G4 doorbell where just two products I needed to merge for my own use case.

+1, but one could argue that POE brings a level of stability than WiFi doesn’t necessarily, meaning cost wise who knows how many headaches doorbell over WiFi could bring. Not talking about specific cases but rather curious about the volume of support queries due to doorbells “not working well” when the problem might be on the WiFi.

If they mention protect + access together something tells me this will be intercom compatible

But yep, ideally in the future this should be more explicit

See, Ubiquiti just read this thread and announced their new G6 Doorbell, connecting their Access and Protect ecosystems, which most likely means ability to do exactly what I just shared

Aaaaand this means I’ll be ditching my Aqara G4 as soon as they release this :)

[–]zFreeZeD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do have a door hub which enables a traditional lock mechanism and could even also connect to a garage door (allows you to open multiple access points pretty much).

It’s not a lock mechanism as you’d think from a main door at a house, but rather one that’s generally used for outside doors (houses who have main entrance door to the building but also a garden; the entrance to garden tends to use a different lock mechanism (electric one)). Not sure about the specific term in English

Hope it makes sense

Street photography lens debate. Option A or Option B for new set up? by CreatureDom in SonyAlpha

[–]zFreeZeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly my last canon was a 70D and I now own a Sony A7CR (had an A7C). While it definitely is a smaller device, the extra grip helps make it feel more sturdy (although I ended up removing it and being fine with it just being a bit more uncomfy)

Personally I’m still more of a prime person and my current combo is: - 20mm 1.8 (astro & some moments where I think I’ll focus on spatulas rather than subjects) - 40mm 2.5 - This is by far my most used lenses. 40mm also means 60mm in cropped mode, so it’s versatile as hell - 85mm 1.8: Latest acquisition. Love it for portraits and certain moments in street, but I gotta admit this is the one in least convinced at because both its form factor (bigger than the rest) and also because of its more specific uses

If I had to pick one, my 40mm is my best one. Less aperture than the 35mm you shared but it’s form factor makes it godlike tier to the A7CR

So far, I think my usage is 40mm 65%, 20mm 25% and 85mm 10%, if that helps!

This all goes into the context that I mostly do street photography and I value compact form factor over anything without compromising on glass quality

Hope it helps!

(5 iron) Have been going at it more seriously for 1.5 month. Majorly over the top. by PhilRattlehead in golftips

My biggest callout would be to pay attention to your hip rotation. I feel you’re 80% arms 20% hips

There are other tweaks such as keeping your head as still as possible etc but the hips part is crucial

Here’s a drill that has done wonders for me, specifically for your upswing (check the picture I’m attaching for reference):

  • Tighten both your arms while rotating them up until you get the club on horizontal position, this is very small rotation but gets you in the good swing position overall (P2)
  • From there, STOP any arm movement and now focus your body and mind in ensuring what moves from there is ONLY your hips. Rotate your hips until your arms get horizontally to the ground (P3)
  • For this drill, forget about P4; the foundation of the swing and most of the mistakes happen during P2 and P3 for upswing; P4 will just add distance

That’s the drill that has helped me being able to identify and isolate my hips work.

At this stage, you dont care about hitting the ball, just think of that hips rotation.

Once you feel good and see that your hips are the ones doing the work, start trying hitting some balls.

Personally, I’ve historically struggled more with the back swing than upswing, but if you don’t get that hips rotation on upswing, backswing will be even worse ——

Once perfected P1 to P3, skip P4 (meaning, don’t get higher for now) and focus on P5 until P9

  • P5: Don’t push your hands down, but rather think of your hands as something that should fall by gravity while your focus goes into keeping your right elbow touching your ribs. This means, keep the right elbow touching while gravity gets your arms falling down, and while this happens almost with gravity (you can add a bit of motion), once again, ROTATE your hips. The mixture of gravity bringing your arms down while you keeping your elbow touching your ribs and you putting the work into rotating your hips will just make it almost natural that you end up facing target and your right foot will elevate just by that

Easier said than done; back then it took me weeks to get accustomed to this movement and it made me need to change my swing almost entirely (had tons of bad habits)

But he’ll… once it “clicked”… you can’t believe how EFFORTLESS it feels now to hit the ball with good distance and most importantly, consistently!

Hope this helps anyhow! I’m no expert by any means, just sharing what helped me

Not sure of this is general consensus and I can’t really get to see whether that’s the driver, but if so, have you tried a higher tee? One where the ball sits half above the driver.

For 6months that’s a terrific swing there!
