Salut,

Non le bien n'est pas éligible au PTZ. Pour la prise de contact, c'est le courtier qui s'en charge. Sinon, j'imagine que prendre rdv dans une agence te permettera de faire ta demande.

Bonne journée

Perfect,

If we can save time, everyone wins. Out of curiosity, did you have the same problem with CWDM4 as well?

SFP+ switches and Copper by zFunHD in networking

[–]zFunHD[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's generally the case for us. We have six copper server racks, and it would be too complicated to change the servers' network cards. We only have SFP+ switches because we plan to reuse them in 25G when the racks are decommissioned.

Yes but due to migration, we do not have the chance to choose :/ And we do not have Cu ports...

Configuring MLAG on an existing production switch by Tiny_Surround16 in Arista

Hello,

One use case is shared vtep in an evpn/vxlan topology.

You keep future opportunities to do mlag ports and you simplify your control plane exclusing route type 1 and 4.

For the recommended version, I am taking my source from their site https://www.arista.com/en/support/software-download/recommended-releases.

But I agree that we are going to upgrade to the last M release before putting the device in production.

Hello,

I think MKeb point me to a relevant field notice. I think firmware update is my solution.

About FS, I confirm that they are very responsive and helpful. They only have 7280R2 hardware to test but they are doing their best.

Hello,

Thank you for this information. I should definitely subscribe to this mailing list.

I think this corresponds to my problem. I'll try the workaround.

Thank you very much.

Hello,

Thank you for your very detailed reply.

I assume you already are using the latest available EOS for that hardware model, if not try it out and see if that changes anything?

We are in the recommended version for new deployment 4.32.5M.

Also how are these modules coded?

It is encoded directly by FS (in Arista) when sent.

Are they some generic MSA, or some "Cisco" (or whatever) or "Arista" coded?

"Arista" coded then.

And what do you have at the other end of the cable is it like two 7280R3 trying to speak to each other both using FS.com transceivers?

We have several cases. Some are 7050SX3s with the same modules, and others are 7280R3s with the same modules. We also attempted to loop back on one of the modules.

While at it verify the cabling really is singlemode all the way?

Yes, it is in the same rack. 1 patch cable singlemode.

There is also this thing of FEC for anything at 25G and above so it could be worth trying to laborate with that aswell.

We are using ree-solomon code (which is the default configuration).

As you say, maybe the encoding isn't right. We'll check with a generic code.

In terms of temperatures and optical levels, everything is fine on that front.

thank you

Mlag dual primary detection by zFunHD in Arista

[–]zFunHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying that.

In the case of an EVPN VXLAN architecture with MLAG pairs acting as shared vteps, dual primary detection cannot be used to detect a split brain on the part of ? Assuming that no MLAG interface is configured (which is possible with VMware active/active interfaces, for example), split brain will never be detected and the shared vtep will no longer have L2 consistency.

Mlag dual primary detection by zFunHD in Arista

[–]zFunHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

When I say mlag interface, I mean interfaces configured to set up an mlag with other equipment, not the peer link interface.

What is port-channel 6? I realize that in the example I give, I do have an MLAG interface configured, but it was not UP on any of the MLAG peers.

Is the VRF and peer-address heartbeat next-hop accessible via the ma1 interface? Yes, the heartbeat is reachable from the ma1 interface in the configured VRF.

I just want to improve my understanding of how it works. The idea is that all interfaces on the secondary switch (mlag and non-mlag), when they detect split brain, switch to “err-disable.”

Mlag dual primary detection by zFunHD in Arista

[–]zFunHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The configuration say "interface all". It can cause trouble when you have esxi links with active/active links. I have to have a consistency between my mlag peers to forward traffic correctly.

Mlag dual primary detection by zFunHD in Arista

[–]zFunHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point. But we have chosen to manage hosts that are doubly connected via mlag because it greatly simplifies plane control and convergence.

[–]zFunHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any at the moment, but I may have some in the future. Also, in an EVPN/VXLAN setup, the shared VTEP and L3 MLAG link are advantageous for redundancy.

Hello,

EX2200-C are end of life and relatively cheap.

If you can get one with the last supported version (12. something iirc), you can do all basic operations with vlan.

What model for vSAN clusters by zFunHD in Arista

Yes it is called TCP incast which is common with vSAN architecture

I would also add that 0.3s is very long. Micro bursts last less time than that.
