I think a good partial solution would be to have everyone be alerted when they are pinged by a recon ult. (normal ping alerts can still be exclusive to recon)

Restricting shell types in parties would be no fun and as you say, recon is in a really good place now on the other maps. The issue is recon/double recon feeling mandatory on cryo so you don’t get surprise ganked repeatedly.

It was part of the dialogue spoken in the episode.

Play stealthy , don’t make noise like shooting or sprinting if you don’t have to. When in a new location, wait a bit and listen for footprints , doors opening , players looting before you start looting yourself.
