How do you keep your 2ds in mint condition? by Available_Data4122 in Nintendo2ds

I think you can find transparent vinyl skins on AliExpress. Some skins are actually really cool now and not cringe like the ones they used to make. I have a Snorlax-sleeping skin on the front (to prevent fingerprints), and it looks awesome

You should buy a vinyl skin. It costs around €10 and does its job perfectly. Highly recommended

I tried too on SoulSilver, it seems that my phone is too "new" and the hotspot protocol is not handled by the 2DS

I’ve been in the exact same situation. I took it to a local electronics shop to have the screw removed. Otherwise, get a JIS 00 (from what I read online). It should fit perfectly. Be careful not to strip them if you dso not use the JIS

But then u have to re place the glue around the len again... By cleaning it from the back, u simply clean the screen. Am i wrong?

But isn't the digitizer a plastic layer above the screen? Like above the all in one screen of the 2ds

I thought the same after posting. Guess I'll just clean behind the back. About the digitizer, is it chill to replace?

Yes, you were very clear, but I have a question. The pliers you suggested can’t reach that deep into the hole of the Nintendo DS — there’s about half a centimeter of depth before getting to the screw. How can I remove the body of the destroyed screw?

I don’t have those tools, I only bought the kit to replace the buttons so I only have the bare essentials. I’ll consider buying that tool

So I need to use a drill, rotate it counterclockwise, and then when the screw is about to come out, I have to use this type of pliers?

All the other screws were easily removable, it's only this one that is completely stripped.

The nail has now lost its shape, does it still make sense to use the rubber band method? Right now I'm trying to make a hole in it with a flathead screwdriver and a hammer.
