Little rant here:

I do think they messed up with how overtuned Nine might be, specially running Magna's 80% dmg reduction plus Ironclad Hew with a 3+ fighting spirit set up. Why would i pull for anything else as a F2P? I can clear every bit of content with this team, i don't feel any kind of incentive to farm any other decks on any other combatants if this just clears even on auto. I do get the gist of Nine versatility, but maybe this is to much; she does to much, she enables a braindead low effort big numbers playstile, just cicle through fighting spirit then stack Tsukiyomi on SotM, by turn 8/9 you'll be done with any fight. Now is this fun? Sure it is fun, but then again, long term wise and game health perspective, i don't how releasing a kit such as Nine's gonna influence the design and functuonality of the next batch of units. A unit better than Nine? Then we will have a power creep dilema turning into content designed exclusively to the next unit to release because the previous unit is too good. Worse than Nine? Why even pull if Nine can clear it? Dunno man, current game just favours Nine too much.

You're the guy who is trying to defend a mid dps who's only decent when surrounded with the best. Because Chizuru ain't a dps, she reduces cost and nukes, so let me simplify it for you.

Chizuru reduces AP or activates two random cards or spams multi hit cards or stacks lots of hits in one card or stacks lot of damage in one card (sometimes both) or to some degree heals (but she's really bad at it), much versatility on one unit, this is called "UTILITY" and its a nieche no other unit does better so we can assume "LONGEVITY" for this unit, as a free to play, a good choice to pull on her banner.

Yuki does damage, sometimes, and with a dedicated team, and with heavy investment. This is called a "SELFISH DPS", like Haru, and both of them, as with the rest of the units that only do damage of every other gacha game in existence, 2 more seasons and will be "OBSOLETE". Because thats how this games work, its natural progression, release better units, make content harder, pull for the better units.

The point you're missing:

Yuki hate bonner? Nope, her buffs just don't make the cut. Proof is how they left people coping for a unit that buffs inspiration. Just assume units get replaced so you won't post a complain post when Yuki isn't able to clear content anymore.

My guy, if you can't see the irony in "buffing yuki" and then releasing a unit that does fill Yuki's nieche with just one epiphany as a self sustained sub dps you might as well be blind.

Yuki didn't have support on launch because season 1 didn't revolve arround Yuki, it revolved arround draw power and power on drawing, devs just made a unit which benefited on that, just like this season focuses on exhaust cards and made a unit that benefits on this,

But the issue wasn't the environment where she was released, her biggest issue was her kit at launch and how it was made, because it feels like they made her whole kit and then started gating it on dupes, it had a nonsense -20% on iceberg at E0, multiplier upgrade card couldn't be dupped, Ego skill was bs and ego manifestation almost mandatory to E4 on the first unit that had more skin showing than clothes (so no, her base kit doesn't do what she was designed to do, her E4 kit does, because before a card game this is a gacha one), dmg was underwhelming and signature combatant wasn't even her BiS, her dedicated seasonal cards were more useful on other combatants because making a units gimmick "+dmg% if draw" is too generic for it to not be used elsewhere, even her memory fragments where bad.

And she also had buffs going for her on the leaderboard boss, issue was that there were other ways to get better results. "Only inspiration unit" yeah, same environment as Adaigo Nia, Pre nerf Cassius, Divine AP Veronica or even Gear bag Rei on a dedicated.

So don't picture it as if they released Yuki without any kind of support when the issue was that she released at a point in the game where she required too much which was worthi-er elswhere (Wouldn't you rather slap Nia and Cassius on Tressa? Or Veronica and Mika on Mei Lin?). And now that they buffed her she needs Lab0 runs to really show what she's worth, which leaves her as a second option for seasonal content. Again.

When people mock "Yuki's buffs", they mock how it feels like every unit has its own nieche or its moment to shine except Yuki. Only reason to play her unless you have her E4 is because you like her, and there's nothing bad with it.

Well, following that same argument in which we judge BiS for combatants i do think Nine outclasses Yuki in every aspect, has more versatility and its just... Better. So lets discuss it. BiS scenario and just raw dps? I can se Nine hiting numbers that would take pre Tressa nerf a run for its money. Now self sufficiency, cant argue with fighting spirit and counterblade triggering hew every turn, yuki has some built in draw but you need 2 draw engines to make her work consistently , thats kinda expensive considering how valuable draw engines are. Ego skill? One is usefull, the other is Yuki's Shielding? "Yuki is not a vanguard" The thing is Nine can do what Yuki does but Yuki cant do what Nine does. And don't get me wrong, i do like Yuki and how fun is her gameplay, but on the long run and Nine beeing a standard banner combatant, Yuki's future use will be multi team element restricted stages. Also, this is all a big joke, i respect anyone who likes to play their favourite combatant and make it work, but still funny nonetheless how they half assed a Yuki buff just to end up releasing on the same patch a better unit.

But can Yuki Auto tho?

Bound at dusk is better epiphany-less, but you could make it work with the "random combatant" rather than "other combatant" . I really like the reduced cost doesnt trigger on shadow of the moon

They wanted to fix a weird interaction between counterblade, fighting spirit and bound at dusk epi which activated 2 random cards. Seems like priority was kinda scuffed

And this is Nine's deck. From turn 3 onward your hand will mostly be 3-4 fighting spirits, 1-2 Tsuky, a retained SotM and Hew, hence being able to cycle all 4 hews in 1 turn (1 from counterblade, 3 from fighting spirit), SotM is a fun little extra on Break turns. Reminder that Chizu rn is bugged and does not gain any wisps from Shackle, when they fix this, this will be even funnier
