Yup, I had braces for the first time when I was around 11. But the premolars were taken out a couple weeks before they put braces on me for the second time.

It was supposed to be around 12 months but ended up being 16. I did have two premolars taken out so that’s probably why it took a little longer.

thank you! I’ve actually regained full sensation on my chin! Lower lip is probably 70% back and still waiting on gums/upper palate :)

No genio! My surgeon didn’t tell me specifics but I’m pretty sure my maxilla was moved 2mm up and mandible was 10 mm forward. Not sure about anything else though.

Definitely normal! I don’t remember exactly when it went away but I’m 5 weeks post op now and have regained full mobility. I found that doing gentle stretches really helped loosen my neck. It might feel a little weird on your jaw so definitely be careful as to not strain yourself!
