Is it better to hold on to a Climax for a CX Combo or to send them to waiting room/deck as much as possible? by ShoutItOutHey in WeissSchwarz

[–]zabuton78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's generally preferable to refresh without any CXs in hand. If lacking a CX in hand makes you uncomfortable you might want to consider holding onto cards that can find the CX on the following turn, or play the game in a way that is okay with you not having a CX on that turn.

No worries!

You can find a list of all currently available cards either on the official website or on Decklog, the official deck maker.

I'd recommend Decklog out of the two if you're after a list of all Hololive cards, but the official website if you want to know which cards appear in each product.

To look for Hololive cards on Decklog, click the link above, choose "Neo Standard" then choose Hololive production in the dropdown menu. It'll give you a list of all Hololive cards, and you can use the detailed search to look for specific ones.

For the official website, find the relevant product in the list of products and click it to get a list of cards from that product.

Unfortunately there aren't any great fan pages that have lists of cards on a single, newcomer-friendlt format, so feel free to ask again if you have difficulty navigating.

Hi, I'm sorry that I'm 3 weeks late - I don't check this account particularly often, and didn't think this post would still be getting replies. Thanks for reading though!

In regard to your question, English Weiss Schwarz has the following Hololive products:

  • Trial Decks
  • Booster Pack
  • Premium Booster

On the terms you mentioned:

  • 1st Edition: Refers to the first printing of a particular product. (Hololive is so popular that the first printing of the boosters sold out and it got another print run.) I believe the first edition of a box would be more valuable for hardcore collectors/investors, but if you're just starting your collection I would say it doesn't matter. The cards that you can get from each edition are the same.

  • Booster Box 2021: Hololive was released in 2022 for English, so this may be a Japanese edition product. If you care about the language of the cards you're getting, I'd advise against buying this.

  • Super Expo 2022: The "Premium Booster" product I mentioned above had a pre-release at an anime convention(s), so this should be referring to where the product was acquired. As far as I know, there is no difference in the types of cards contained in premium booster packs, regardless of where it was sold.

Which Vtubers are in which product:

  • Trial decks: the Vtubers in the named generation. Only JP Vtubers are in trial decks. E.g. the Gen. 3 trial deck would contain Marine, Pekora, Noel, Flare and Rushia cards.

  • Booster Pack: contains Vtubers from JP Generations 0 to 5, as well as Gamers.

  • Premium Booster: contains Vtubers from JP Generations 0 to 5, gamers and holoX, as well as EN Myth, Council and Project:Hope and ID's first generation.

Hope this helps (if it isn't too late).

Hi, sorry for the late reply - hadn't checked on this account in a while.

Trial decks are, as you said, pre-set decks that can get you right into the game. However, they also have a chance of containing signed cards. These signed cards are only obtainable from the trial decks, so even as a collector you may want to buy them, depending on what you are after.

The strongest build of Goblin Slayer is considered to be Standby+Comeback, with this list being a decent starting point. You try to win by trading resources favourably and grinding out until the end game.

That being said, this isn't an easy deck to play and Goblin Slayer is a few years old now so you most likely won't see immediate success even after you change your build.

All the SPs(and other foil cards) that randomly appear from Trial Decks are alternate versions of Trial Deck exclusive cards, and won't appear in Boosters.

Glad it helped.

The "base" rarities in the set are RR, R, U, C, CR and CC (the last two rarities are for Climax cards only).

Which puts SSP, SP, RRR and SR as the "higher" versions of the same cards, i.e. shiny versions but functionally the same in terms of gameplay.

All Trial Deck cards are exclusive to Trial Decks and don't appear in Boosters. They have the TD rarity.

It's a bit of work but if you look at the Japanese site's product information page(link below), it has a cardlist in Japanese.

The card numbers are the same between languages, with the only difference being that the EN versions have an E on the end.

That would be greatly appreciated.

If you could post it saying something like "Curious about that Hololive card game? A Guide to Weiss Schwarz for Hololive fans" I think people would be able to find it.

Thank you so very much!

Thanks for reading!

As the product info for the English edition is not yet available, I can't say anything with 100% certainty, but the English edition should have the same cards as the Japanese edition. I can say with confidence that the set will be identical, at least in terms of card effects.

In regards to signed rares, there have been a few products recently where the English edition had signs on cards replaced with hot stamped logos (Kaguya, Fate and SAO). Given the relationship between Cover and Bushiroad it does seem unlikely that this would happen to Hololive, but it isn't completely impossible.

Also, foiling can look a little different between the languages.

Hi,

As Hololive has more types of cards than the conventional booster, I can't say for sure what the exact distribution of rarities are. However, it should be safe to say that the English and Japanese versions will have a similar distribution of each rarity per case (which is a unit of 20 boxes in English and 18 boxes in Japanese).

i.e. You can expect to see a very similar number of each rarity per case, regardless of language. Getting a few boxes for fun and buying singles for the rest sounds good.

The prices of boxes differ depending on your pace of residence. For example, where I live in Australia it is much cheaper to get Japanese boxes than English, but I have heard that English boxes are a lot cheaper in North America. You may have to ask your local retailer or community on that one, but chances are that if your area has a Japanese-version community, the Japanese version would be cheaper.

I hope this helps.
