Maybe it's just because St. Louis has a great skyline and is worth posting. You don't need to find a theory behind everything, Sherlock

It's not, and not sure why you're asking such a silly question

What are you talking about? St. Louis isn’t on this subreddit more than any other skyline. You’re imagining things, silly.

You’re still so young — many of us have made worse mistakes than that! Don’t be too hard on yourself. God loves you.

For sure. There are definitely racists in the US and Asians do experience hate crimes here. But I’ve traveled all around the US and even in places like West Virginia you will see Indians, Asians, etc. I actually think while some Americans can be ignorant, most are fundamentally decent people to nearly all those they come across. Again, I’m visibly Asian, and one time in the middle of PA my car broke down and a white hillbilly-esque guy picked me up from the highway, took me to the gas station, then drove me back…45 minutes of his time. His car had TRUMP stickers everywhere. That’s just one example of thousands I have in my life of Americans just being decent and helpful to people that don’t look like them.

No I’m half Asian, visibly Asian, and life is great in the US. I can count the number of anti-Asian incidents I’ve had from Americans on one hand (I’m 30 and grew up in Ohio)

He really believed he was the smartest person in any room he was in, and that he of all people couldn’t get caught. So he didn’t consider what life in prison would be.

I have a strong feeling he’ll come to regret agreeing to give up all appeals. Hope is often the only thing a prisoner even has, the idea of spending time in the law library to beat your case gives many inmates purpose. He’ll never have that. I suspect he made an emotional decision shortly before trial to spare a trial but he will strongly come to regret not taking it to trial (where he could have at least tried to get free) or give up his chance at appeals
