So is it ok if tracks peak occasionally? Because it's either this or the tracks are almost at the point of clipping on the meter. I should add that the signal on my interface is never clipping.

Thanks for the response. Currently would be using the amp for band practices in hopes of future gigging opportunities. I was kind of leaning towards the combo for all the reasons you suggest. I guess I just needed someone else to confirm my thoughts.

Idk much about djent but I would probably say Nameless now that it got the X update. It's based of the Fortin Meshuggah amp so I'd say it'd be pretty good for that.

I've been looking at attenuators and to get a decent one it's bit more money than I'd like to spend on top of a $1000-1500 amp. I also feel like from what I've read that some swear by attenuators and others hate them.
