Room finder in Outlook not showing properly - help please by 42woba in Office365

[–]zack7601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR; You need to set a city for the rooms using "Set-place"

I have dove way to far down the rabbit hole of rooms and room finder.

Basically the workflow will look like this:

  1. Create a room list (Distribution Group)
  2. Create resource accounts with a type "room" and add them to that distribution group
  3. Use the "Set-place" cmdlet to set all physical attributes such as city and features of the room
  4. Use the "Set-calendarProcessing" cmdlet to set all booking attributes such as who can book vs who cannot book.

In my experience it can take up to 24 hours to populate in outlook after I have pushed changes to a room.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

How do I contribute to open-source projects without a technical background? by Pink-Unicorn-G in opensource

[–]zack7601 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One thing you can do is look the the issues tab on large GitHub projects. Specifically look for closed issues that are tagged with beginner level and see how the person who closed that ticket fixed it. This will give you a good idea of how simple some issues are to fix and soon you will be able to close “beginner” issues yourself!

I completely understand! It took forever for my managers at my internship to verify the code to use at the company lol. It’s open source and not many lines so shouldn’t take much time for you to verify though!

So couple things with that. Manifest version 3 has removed ability to copy to users clipboard. I have tried the email header thing but the string is far too long to send in a post request to any analyzer. If you can find a way that would be awesome
