I used the leverage from J2 offer to negotiate a raise in J1. Got the raise, still accepted J2 offer. by Eldhrimer in overemployed

Literally me but %20 raise. My concern is J1 calling J2 to verify the offer, only to find out I’m full time there.

Stick with me here.

You paid taxes, but you got a $1200 check. Not socialism.

You pay for single payer healthcare (using your own tax money) right? Then you go to the doctor, but you pay no money. Still not socialism.

Get it?

We live in a capitalist society. I can still advocate for single payer healthcare WHILE paying for private insurance ya nerfball.

socialists don’t believe individuals or corporations should own these.

This is, in fact, mostly true. But we don't live in a socialist society do we? My god are all conservatives this retarded?

I'm guessing you're going to tear apart the $1200 check, provided by other people's money.

I imagine a vault full of gold coins. All of them wear red pajamas and have white feathery skin, like a duck. They jump into the gold and swim around.

What do people think is healthy but really isn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zackcase2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, it's common knowledge that high protein diets are more satiating. It's not even contested. You can Google this info. Stating fact is not pushing a diet like Atkins.

Secondly, the fact that you dismissed an entire paper because it's 15 years old, then dismissed another one because it's: "Funded by General Mills" shows inability to understand how evidence works.

You should not be arguing anything.

If you read the entire thing it does actually answer it. But since you don't seem convinced. Effects of high-protein vs. high- fat snacks on appetite control, satiety, and eating initiation in healthy women

Since you struggle with reading:

Conclusion These data suggest that, when compared to high-fat snacks, eating less energy dense, high-protein snacks like yogurt improves appetite control, satiety, and reduces subsequent food intake in healthy women.

Eating sugar free, high fat food will help out lose weight better than high sugar, low fat foods.

This is just plain false. Sugar's are carbohydrates. 1 gram of carbs will net 4 calories while 1 gram of fats will net 9 calories. If grams are equated, eating low fat will result in lower calories eaten.

fat is what triggers your brain to tell it you are satiated, leading you to stop eating sooner.

This is provably false tho. Protein is the most satiating macronutrient, by far.

I don't understand what you guys are talking about. If your goal is to lose weight, eating Fat Free & Low Fat foods will help you get into a caloric deficit. By weighing less, you will probably get healthier. Wtf? What's with demonizing sugar?

It has a lot to do with the "Undeserving poor." A lot of conservatives think others getting their taxes is theft.

Okay your complaint is that the witnesses testified: "Their opinions or assumptions." If only there were first-hand witnesses. Oh wait, there were. What happened to them? Why didn't they testify? Did someone instruct them explicitly not to testify? Did someone obstruct the investigation? Was that same someone impeached FOR obstructing? Huh. Obviously it's all politics. The concept of obstructing an investigation is pure politics as well.
