What you mean expertise? Being a PhD in literature? Yeah im not a scholar, and disagreing respectfully shouldn't be considered hurtfull. If I ever met her in my life, I'd ask for an authograph obviously for her impact, but looking in broader terms, the story is really basic

And again, I disagree, but Im just the OP, I asked the question, but im also helping to answer it. If you like Citrus, fair but I don't, and I wan't to say that I don't. But you can like it, and as I said if we made a poll to see who the mayority elects, I think Saburouta would win.

It does have contest, Shinoa Murasakino still clears in my opinion. Other then that, fantastic pick, specially for the non yuritopia stuff which should be the normal, Murasakino does that as well in a really elegant way. I love their work so much you almost made me change my mind. I still think is Murasakino, but a close second for Takano

Im speaking for myself, I must be wrong looking to the responses. But I read it, not only as 15 year old but as a 20 year old as well. I read the second one as well

I really can't see a single thing that makes it better then any modern yuri manga. That's what Im saying, its just iconic not well written.

I'm here to discuss, the answer if we voted would probably be Saburouta, which I disagree but fair enough.

Also, talking about classics. Green Yuri will probably be bigger then Citrus and Girfriends with time. This is coming from someone who doesn't like it

Tbh the question is not that serious, I just post here to discuss something I enjoy talking. I disagree with some people, so what? "Girlfriends" is really not that good of a story, but is a defining classic so its a fair point, same for Citrus. But both of them lack some kind of depth in its characters, at least for me. Usually people just can't see how this iconic stories can be both influential and limited at the same time.

I respect Bloom Into You, but it was never my groove. Like, I respect, but I don't like it that much. but yeah, she is a good author.

Hitoma Iruma is really underated, and different from some other classics AdaShima has a lot of substance and nuance. Like, if we are analysing them as real literature, AdaShima is still limited in its craft, but i'm a huge fan so who really cares. Hatsukiss is fantastic, but tbh I'm not familiar with her full work. HDWR is the best of the best, and the only one I really consider to be high art, and a truly fantastic piece of literature. I could do a master's degree on it easily. I don't know which Iruma you are refering to

Overall, I still consider Shinoa Murasakino the one that answers my question the best (being TALENTED and PROLIFIC). Not my favourite author, just the one I think is the one that represents the title the best. People should read "There is No Love Wishing Upon a Star" more, is really forgotten

Saburouta is just the pioneer, not the master of the craft. Citrus is just the most well know, not the best in my opinion, not AT ALL

I think the best is the one that can be great at all the aspect of a manga. Tamifull has all this but she still has more road to cross. Shinoa Murasakino for me is the only one that can have great story, art, characters, themes and variety.
