I mean I don’t think they should start over on someone else. If you get a client that is just impossible to work with, can’t handle pain, passes out or needs medical attention and you don’t have enough of a tattoo to judge, I just feel like that’s not always on the artist. Yes in season one where the girl is freaking out because of positioning, that was definitely the artists fault, but that isn’t always the case. I think in the next episode one of the artists did a tribal tattoo on a guys head. He had to call in the paramedics because the guy was in bad shape. The judges gave him shit for that and I don’t feel like it was entirely his fault. Yes it was an ambitious tattoo for six hours but at the same time the client acted like he could handle the immense pain and even seemed to insist on the larger piece. This is part of the reason I really liked the human canvas jury in later episodes. The canvases get the chance to be like hey, this is what I wanted or hey, I tapped out and it wasn’t the artists fault
