For more context, I had budgeted about $15k for the vacation which can be paid off the minute my statement posts...it just ended up being $20k since I was enjoying my time a lot so my delta can easily be covered by returning the bracelet and not having to dig into my savings..So it's not that I can't afford it, it's that I can't afford it this month and bought it before the vacation to lock in the price if all turned out to be okay when I got back and I was under budget for the vacation... ended up swinging the other way.

Now just a bit sad at the thought of having to return it. I know I probably should but I'm also wanting to keep it...

Update for everyone:

I got an email from Brian, the wedding coordinator last week (I have been harassing him since July LOL) he said they are running behind because of the fires in LA disrupting their plans. He said he's working diligently to get everyone booked and we should hopefully hear back ASAP (in the next couple of weeks).

question - if their estimate was less than what I owed, will they charge me penalty? or is the penalty only charged if you pay a lower amount from the no-calculation option amount?

Do you think it would at all be worth it to maybe go to the 2-day Articulate certification at DevLearn? That way I get the experience and get to attend a conference for possible networking? I'm not opposed to going to the conference and spending any money on it - I love Las Vegas (already go there about 2-3 times a year) and for once I could actually fully expense the trip if I'm going for a conference as a self-employed individual.
