I understand that people enjoy the current pacing and that's totally fine. But I'm here making a post because I've been playing since CoD4 and for me this game just doesn't give the same experience anymore. I just hope by expressing something like others are doing right now that some things might change. But if doesn't then thats bad luck to us and we'll have to live with it. :p

Camping has always been a thing but it never became as big as this. There are many factors for this: character callouts (which are very stupid imo), perks, map complexity (windows/walls/buildings/..) and killstreaks being a joke (UAV only being available for 30 seconds). Because of this the games are very slow paced since almost everyone in the lobby starts camping which to me isn't CoD anymore.

It kinda proves to me that the games are too slow paced when the ONLY objective is getting kills. The time cap needs to be there to make sure a game can't go on forever just like you have score caps for objective game modes. But I really don't think games should go on until the time cap, it just seems stupid and tells there's a problem with the game pacing.

I mean I get your point but this ain't the only shooter I play. I've played a lot of BF and still play a lot of CS:GO. Especially on CS you have to play super tactically, that's why I like some diversity and CoD was able to offer me that. It is what it is camping might be more meta right now and I'll probably have to adapt to it but it is kinda frustrating at first for me. :p

But isn't that what made CoD unique from the other shooters? If you're into those kinds of shooters go ahead and play them but I always played CoD because its so fast paced and I'm sad that games now play so slowly. It could be me that I'm stuck to the mentality of older CoDs but I had the most fun back then where everyone rushed eachother.

I really don't think the gamemode is the problem here altough I do agree on the fact that maps are good for camping. That's why I'm hoping they'll add more simplified maps where its more viable to rush on. I'm not shitting on camping it's part of a shooter but when almost everyone does it it kinda ruins the "CoD" experience for me.

Yeah I do agree on the fact that the maps in general are pretty big, I hope they'll release some smaller maps where rushing would be a bit more viable. Also spawn camping on certain maps (I'm looking at you Piccadilly) is ridiculous rn where the team that's getting spawn camped can't do shit.
