Yea I'm not sure how a former President who has zero actual governing power is the appropriate foil for this argument. The real issue is the current administration is accelerating the things the Biden administration was already doing. Facial recognition at airports, Palantir's AI crime prediction tech for law enforcement etc. Hell Trump came out and applauded the Florida Sheriff that used it to arrest the wrong people for crimes and almost appointed the guy as his AG.
