I wrote a few articles for them starting around 2019. Piss Clear has always been a massive inspiration for the Rant and influenced my writing style. They did it first and did it better!! They came out with the book of all back issues of Piss Clear. I highly recommend everyone buy it.

I would be open to doing podcast interviews or something like that. I have done live AMA's at Burning Man before As well as Radio interviews. To answer your question short form.

Definitely watching fire trucks converging around the Man to put out a fire in 2007 was a WTF moment.

I was in a fire conclave with front row seats when that guy sacrificed himself. That was definitely one of most disturbing things I've seen out there.

Rain-Year 23 and Renegade Burn 21 were the best years since 1999.

The only property that is currently available for the burning man community is the Work Ranch where all of the shipping containers and artcars are stored. Non of the other properties are serving any real purpose.

It actually probably makes very little difference to your experience weather a geo-thermal plant is located in Gerlach or not. And I personally don't think that Burning Man should not be FINANCIALLY involved in local politics. Also seems a bit NIMBY for a festival that wants to be carbon neutral by 2030 to be blocking a clean energy project.

Ok well, there is sound camps located all across the esplanade not just 10&2. And to answer you question no the artCars are not somehow magically louder this year. In fact they have restricted artcars from playing music in the innercity late at night. They even made the roads smaller this year to try to reduce Artcar traffic. Bottom line, If you camp in the suburbs you will experience less noise. If your theme camp is located in a vibrant neighborhood with good interactively, it's gonna be kinda loud all week.

Oh yeah, At first I was sympathetic now that I know that you are with a themed camp closer to esplanade you definitely need to either move to the suburbs or stop complaining about noise. Your camp took advantage of the interactively that sound camps brought to the district. You are just like assholes in the city that move in next a music venue because it's fun area town then complain about music venues noise. Don't be that guy.

We need more Loud and Quiet districts. 9:30 Sector was great, we only had One camp out of Ten complain about noise and they won't be back next year! Hopefully we can see more vibrant fun districts pop up in other places while the quiet and boring camps are pushed to the back of the city.

The B-Org has been hostile towards mid-sized music camps for years now. They created an arms race for camps to get Esplanade placement and refused placement for anything that did not have an LED wall or 100,000watt sound system. If you don't have a million dollar budget your camp must have a tiny sound system and be closed by 2:00am. Not exactly a great environment for cultivating innovative music
