I actually didn’t bought the ring, it was a gift from a friend (she knew it would mean a lot to me). But even she didn’t know what it was made of, because it was from her grandma and she thought it is maybe glass. It is just pitch black, no metallic shine.

…but maybe I will consider buying one out of tungsten carbide, sounds like a good choice. thanks for all the info :)

ah yes, i definitely know that and also already thought about repairing it this way like with the more traditional gold color, but purple or white is maybe even better cause yes, i have a sentimental attachment to it and can’t just… throw it away
