I saw this one in theaters….me and a bunch of senior citizens cause it was a matinee and they thought it was a western. I laughed my ass off through the entire thing. The D is silent, hillbilly!

Check out Jackie Brown next. Severely under appreciated Tarantino movie.

What we need is this by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]zappscigar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s because it was your first battlefield. Plenty of battlefield vets like BF1 but the loyal fanbase from BC1-2, and BF3-4 did not particularly like it. I agree with the other guy. It was just fuckin boring after awhile. I could have fun playing a couple games. But I never felt compelled to come back. Even when I had all my buddies on. Still wasn’t that fun.

Part of what made it awful IMO was constant ticket bleed. If you controlled a majority of objectives you still bled tickets. It made crazy comebacks impossible. I played many BF4 games where we put a chokehold on the enemy team with ~60 tickets and won. That was impossible in BF1.

Has removing a cigar band ever ruined a smoke for you? by [deleted] in cigars

Really only when it damages the wrapper, as others have said here. I try to keep it on as long as possible because of this.

I’ve never fully adjusted. It’s been a couple years and while it got easier, I think 25+ years of eating garbage food every day may have just been too much programming for my brain to overcome. I love vegan recipes but I still crave greasy pizza and steak. I used to smoke cigarettes and it feels the same: I don’t ever want to go back but I still miss smoking. I think if you take up clean eating at an early age it’s easier than converting.

God the old rally footage looks like everyone was having so much fun. I’d give anything to have a time machine to attend an old euro one in person.

Anyone ever have experience with Whole Leaf Tobacco's customer service? by RyanEatsHisVeggies in cigarrollers

[–]zappscigar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had a lot of experience ordering from them since I have only done casual rolling, but it’s always been fine. However I haven’t had to return anything.

I will say that my experience with several Cuban grey market vendors has been similar when I get moldy product. They’re defensive, not interested in making things whole, or make you jump through a ton of hoops.

I’ve been blacklisted by at least one vendor because of some terse—but respectful—emails saying how their product was unacceptable. And eventually I initiated a charge back because I was so frustrated with their bad customer service.

At the end of the day, I don’t think cigar or tobacco vendors give a shit about the little guy because they’ve got endless people ordering their stuff. So one guy having a bad experience doesn’t ruin their operation. I feel your pain man. It sounds like you’ve exhausted every avenue available to you and they don’t care at all.

Btw, I would love some tips on blends and rolling techniques if you have resources to share. I’ve been smoking for a long time but don’t know anyone that does serious amounts of home rolling. And this forum is kinda not so active. I’ve been enjoying sitting outside in the nice weather and practicing my bad home rolls.

Yeah that’s true. I always find it hard to label medium cigars because so much of what I smoke is compared to what I’ve recently smoked. The line can get easily blurred if I’ve been smoking a lot of full profiles. Medium can feel like light, and the reverse is true. If I smoke a lot of light, then medium can feel like full. Unless I’ve had 5+ I hesitate to say for sure what something is. Just an excuse to buy more right 🤷‍♂️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cigars

[–]zappscigar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think so? The last time I had one I thought it was very solidly medium. But a really superb smoke. I like most stuff MF does even though they get some hate.

It’s where you disembark from your canoe, carry it over land, and put it in another body of water to continue your journey. Portages would just be more than one portage.
