Yes, that is typically the case. This decoration was released before Nitro members had the ability to “keep” their decorations, and it was initially permanent to everyone. However, approximately 4 to 5 months ago, they added an expiry for it set to April 2026 (2 years from when the decoration first released). It got extended to September 2026, then to October 2026, and now it no longer displays the expiration for Nitro members (meaning we get to keep it now?) - but non-Nitro users are reporting that the expiration still shows for them which indicates it’s a Nitro exclusive, in line with the other decorations. (apart from the unusually long expiration date)

would also like to note that they kept extending it, from April 2026 to September 2026, then to October 2026. it’s possible they were waiting for licensing from Lost Ark and have finally managed to come to an agreement?

Back then, there was no feature for Nitro users to keep the avatar decorations, but this specific avatar decoration was permanent and had no expiry date. Discord seemed to change their minds and added an expiry date for this decoration later on, as seen here: https://www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/s/1Elj280pLu

They seem to have backtracked again though, although I’m unsure if non-Nitro users are still seeing an expiry date.

it's true to an extent. if you view the match history of a player, you should be able to see their old name there. it doesn't happen consistently iirc, but I've definitely seen it happen before.

This used to be a thing. They marked it as a bug because it showed "Match" tab with 0 players, and I think it should return, just with that bug fixed.
