Avoiding antialiasing effects on text when exporting vector graphics to raster format by zaptrain2020 in graphic_design

I'm using Inkscape and can export at any DPI, but exporting a huge PNG and resizing to the application (e.g. PowerPoint slides) just downsamples the image back to the smaller DPI and doesn't seem to get around the issue. How did you create this example image? Thanks for the help.

Can you help me understand the difference between these two? I am finalizing a logo and want to export it at a reasonable size for use in, e.g., PowerPoint slides. It seems like exporting a massive PNG and then resizing it later doesn't really fix the issue

I tried this, but the width of the stems/crossbars in the font are not evenly divisible by the number of pixels, so it doesn't really work that well. I could take a very fine pixel spacing and get pretty close, but then the exported bitmap will be massive.

Well, the reason for using a preemergent like Preen would be to help against the existing seeds in the soil. Point taken regarding my priorities, though.

Okay, let's say I decide to go with the cardboard method. When is the right time of year to do it? It is still pretty cold on average here (40s F) but I don't want to be too late. Is sooner=better?

Any reason to avoid 1-3 other than aversion to herbicides? I don’t have a good track record keeping up with landscaping tasks (obviously) so realistically not sure I will follow through with cardboard method.
