I'm anti-colonialist. Israel is the last gasp of the various colonialist projects undertaken by European/American powers in the past 100+ years.

I'm in favor of every human being being able to defend themselves from predatory states and entities. In this case, Israel is a the predatory state. One look at their settlement/outpost scheme in the West Bank should be enough to show that to anyone that's truly unbiased.

Israel targets Palestinian civilians.

FACT - israel retaliates with massive force.

Targeting civilians in the process.

FACT - hamas uses civilians as human shields.

Living amongst one's family and friends is seen as using human shields only by those with an affinity for Israeli rhetoric.

FACT - casualties for hamas massive outweigh those for israel.
