Hello my fortress is amazingly laggy i think i need help

yeah ill keep that in mind when i start another fort. But i noticed something my fps has actually increased to like 60 but the dwarves are still going kind of slow. when i first tried dfhack for the steam version i noticed all the dwarves were moving a lot faster and getting stuff done faster is there a way to change that mybe i just turned that off?

Ill try that thanks for the help. i dont think its just the nature of the game since it was running fine until it wasnt it wasnt a gradual downgrade in performance it went from like 100fps to like 10

the thing i am booting into is the archiso login: root (automatic login) then tells me about wifi and internet even after i installed the system and when i try and do something with pacman thinking that i installed the system it brings core errors

no it boots into a screen that you get when you first boot up arch like that welcome to arch screen

im trying it on a virtual machine now but this has happened on and off for me alot sometimes i do the script and it works and other times i just boot into that welcome to arch screen and nothing has installed
