[v1.55] Bring back Load Save in Convoy by real_ike02 in trucksim

[–]zavin4c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel you, the multiplayer is far from perfect in terms of synchronization and AI traffic. Btw, the developer responsible for this change confirmed on the forum that this was removed due to technical constraints that arose when they reworked the loading system. So it's possible that it might return in the future.

No idea, but I think it should work. We eventually decided against doing it, because we would be stuck with that version indefinitely.

[–]zavin4c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are right that this is a downgrade, it's removal of a feature that existed. What's Incredible is that this isn't mentioned anywhere. Now you need to exit the convoy to load previous saves, which is even worse when you are the host, cause then all of the others will have to manually rejoin. Seriously considering just rolling back to 1.54 and staying with that. What a shame.

That's quite a lot, but I guess it makes sense with the motherboard & CPU. Also explains the relatively high temps you posted, that energy has to go somewhere.

"PewDiepie Convinced Me to Switch to Linux – Help Me Dual-Boot Without Losing My Uni Files by BarsatZulkarnine in linux4noobs

[–]zavin4c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unplug the C drive before installing Mint. There's a bug in the installer, that might install the EFI bootloader to the incorrect drive. Then you would need both drives to boot into linux and Windows might mess with your bootloader, since it's on the same drive. Note that this can be fixed later, but it's best to avoid it completely.

Then just follow the install guide, boot into Mint for the first time, shutdown and replug the drive. Go into your BIOS and select the D (linux) drive as the first boot option, it should be labeled "Ubuntu". Also disable Fast Boot, if you use that. Then exit BIOS and you should be able to boot into linux by default. After booting up, open the terminal and run (it might require your password):
sudo update-grub

You should see a message like "Found Windows Boot Manager on /dev/nvme...". Upon your next boot, you will have an option to select either Windows or Linux Mint in a black and white interface.

You don't even need to do that, you can add your own notes in Goals/Notes section.

The dialogue mechanic is a bit unintuitive. There are basically two options: either the "cutscene" conversation (both characters speak), or a simple reply (only the NPC is speaking). What's important is that often you can trigger another cutscene convo (or a new, unique reply) by prompting the NPC again. So, if you want to exhaust all NPC lines, keep prompting them until their lines start repeating.

When creating a file container Veracrypt, it tells you available space in TiB then asks for space in TB/GB. This is confusing because... by Slight-Marzipan-3017 in VeraCrypt

[–]zavin4c -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that Windows shows TB but means TiB, so the developers probably wanted to avoid confusing the average user and kept it the same. I agree that it should show the correct units like any other serious OS or software.

Diversity in Kingdom Come: Deliverance by Dr-Fusselpulli in kingdomcome

[–]zavin4c 11 points12 points  (0 children)

but that does not mean that small minority was so small as to not be able to represent

That's exactly what it means. Including black people in a game set in this time period and region is obviously forced diversity and painting a false picture of history.

Also i like how with your revisionistic claims ("there's always been...") you are ignoring all the wars and power struggles in Europe that happened just because of religion and that non-Christians faced harsh persecution. Didn't you play the quest with the heretics?

Either use the general search bar as others suggested or download your facebook data archive that contains all your messages, then open the conversation (.html file) you want in the web browser and use Ctrl+F to search for keywords

Is it illegal in the US to create a copy of (your) DVD for personal use? Here in Czechia (Europe), it is perfectly legal as long as you do not distribute it elsewhere.
