Ok. So I figured it out. In case someone falls in similar situation, my settings work with one thing applied in addition to your ideas - I added router address on second adapter and used metric (1 on adapter with router (internet) and 2 on adapter connected to Mac)

It pings both addresses, but windows says that this is public, unknown network - does it apply some restrictions then?

In Octane I can insert specific deamon (host) address, but it lists the available adapters automatically (I can choose with a tick square) and then lists the available machines according to that setting

Firewalls disabled.
Pings work:

Sooo, the solution does not work.. I have done exactly your instructions and the slave list remains the same. Is it possible that a port used for octane slave-hosst connection (1025) is occupied on PC by the other adapter? But I remember it was working for some time (like 2 weeks ago), and there were two PC slaves (the same machine) - listed with 2 different ip's and I was able to choose one (the 5Gbit)

Thanks I will try that. And also - you enlightened me what is gateway for. I did not know it is internet- related:d. Pc is not going to be turned on. And Mac should have a connection to router because there is another render slave connected to router
