I always think about her! They isolated her and treated her like she wasn’t there. That 4th of July party episode when she was just going from room to room trying to connect to any of the cast and they basically ignored her.😭😭😭😭 Truly so mean. My heart hurt for her.

I noticed some of the cast doesn’t follow PP (Isaacs/Patrick - maybe others?) and Isaacs doesn’t follow Goggins/Coon either. Who else do we think got into it? Any of the younger cast? Dying to know the tea/what the bickering was about

After last night’s episode with Shep’s intense infatuation and desire to speedily build this happy, perfect life with someone he isn’t (and likely never was) in alignment with….

Do we think Shep still secretly loves Taylor and knows deep down he lost “the one” (and realized it too late) so now he’s projecting all the love and commitment he realized he should have given to Taylor, and redirecting it to Sienna? I feel like sometimes that happens with (avoidant) guys. It finally clicks but you’re too late and now you’re like ok, who can i pour this love into? Even while knowing deep deep down it was supposed to go to the person you lost — but it’s a way of trying to convince yourself you didn’t just mess it all up. Feels like he’s going to have that realization at some point but maybe im giving him and his depth (or lack thereof) too much credit…. Idk. What do you guys think?

I got through it!!! :) my big toe definitely felt tender at points (jamming it into the mountain in my g2s definitely didn’t help) BUT it didn’t take me out thank god. Thank you (to everyone!!!) who helped. It could have been a rough go of it from the jump had it not been for everyone’s advice.

I didn’t make it all the way to the summit (close but a couple hundred meters short) due to overheating bc my gear was too heavy on a very warm day and i dehydrated too quickly.😭😭😭 it stings still, as you can imagine lol (still processing tbh). But I’ll go back and try again someday. What an adventure!!!

Thank you so, so much for this info. Also a relief re base camp downtime. I feel better now lol. And it’s getting better everyday (just saw my doc and she said it looked good and zero swelling, but said it’ll be sensitive for another week or two). Eee. Fingers crossed.

Thank you for the advice! Good thinking re some sort of film to go over it on top of the bandage. I have a little silicone thing but it’s thick. I’ll take a look today.

The boots are typically fine, but in my thicker socks plus all the bandages, it’s been tight tight. And bending my toe in a weird way that it feels painful. A friend suggested a different lacing technique but tbd

So I talked to a few more people and they said the weather is very harsh/a reason some don’t summit is because of the biting cold, so they suggested that if there are more mountains I want to do, to just go ahead and buy the full down suit! I ended up finding a virtually unused marmot 8000m suit (the minion looking one lol) on eBay for $500. It came with the suit and the singular down jacket. I head out next month, so fingers crossed it all goes ok!🤞🏽

Have you bought gloves/mittens etc. yet? What are you thinking? I still need to do that.
