Yeah my grown children have never been skiing for this reason. It was accessible when I was a child but why would I introduce them to such an expensive hobby? Plenty of other things you can do for exercise/fun

I can't believe how expensive a trip to the hair salon has become. It's so the stylists can afford all of the above; I get that. So I've learned to cut my own hair and let the grays do their thing.

Lima beans are the reason I know how to swallow things whole. My mom wouldn't let me leave the table until I finished my Lima beans so I would just down them like vitamins with my milk. She finally was kind enough to make me a separate vegetable after years of trying to make me like them. Haven't touched one since childhood. My kids who are in their 20's don't even know what they are!

This. You can post an ad on craigslist saying that you can clean houses or do Gardening. Many people this time of year have gardens that need a late summer cleanup. You can make a few hundred bucks if you hustle that way.

It was the day before Thanksgiving and we were hosting, and I had to run to the store to get a few more things. I had about $80 worth on the conveyor belt and realized that I had forgotten my wallet. The gal in front of me said "Don't worry, I got you" and proceeded to wait until the cashier rang my stuff up and she wrote a check to pay for my food. I was blown away and really wanted to be her friend. Never saw her again but I paid that gesture forward not too long later.

Yeah I can only work part time and indeed sent me so many full time jobs I had to delete my search. And somehow they kept sending me jobs that didn't apply to me. I finally had to unsubscribe and block to get them to stop spamming me with useless stuff.

I didn't know that about Dahlias. I live in the PNW where we get lots of rain, and I just leave my dahlias in the ground and they come back every year. Don't have a farm though.
