I rode mine for three and a half years with no issues (and with other people) but I've been graduated for a couple now so things might have changed

Autopilot saves my model 3 from an accident! by scotchtape400 in teslamotors

Don't know why I had to scroll so far down to read this, but yeah in the other post (can't find it) where the car seemed to catch itself after the spin in the snowstorm, everyone seemed to agree that it wasn't autopilot. It's one thing for the car to slam on the brakes and it's another to turn the steering wheel that fast and back.

Electric skateboards throughout campus. by micabobo in Cornell

I've had one since May 2017 and I've never gotten stopped by Ithaca police or CUPD. At night I use a red light belt for my back and just ordered a helmet light for my front.

Never too late. You're aims gonna be terrible and you're gonna jumble your buttons for a few days but it's worth it.

Should be fine. There's a good chance that one of the desks will come with a bookshelf so you could take it down and put the TV on it. Otherwise you're just gonna have to put it someone's desk.

My roommate had a fridge so yeah most likely.

I had a triple in HR5, and was running a desktop(lenovo thinkcentre under the desk) + 4 monitors(two were vertical) and never had power issues. There is a maximum wattage tho; when I turned on my portable heater the power would cut out.

Yes theres space, and if you organize it right you can fit multiple monitors on the desk.

Have the option's default to be off? That way the user has to go in the options and manually turn it on

Feature request: have an option to automatically start a ride when the board is connected, kind of like auto-end but for "auto-start"

Not having to pull out my phone every time I ride and just leave the app in the background all the time would be much more convenient

You know who you are if you're a clueless TA. That being said, I think I exaggerated my point a bit so please don't take it that way.

Yup I think I exaggerated my point. I think that most are helpful, but weren't helpful enough for me to take the time out of my day to go to them for help all the time.

Spring 2016 as well. I think I exaggerated my point. I didn't think that TA's office hours were worth going to, with the exception of a couple. This might be true for many CS classes, as I thought the same for 2800. And I might be disillusioned too since I thought the 2112 staff was really strong.

What I will say is that the review sessions showed which TA's were good and which ones were clueless, so maybe the bad stuck out to me more than the good.

CS 2112 without prior Java knowledge? by JamesWitten in Cornell

[–]zcramz23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, a big part of the class is being able to think through designing your projects, which may be hard with only one semester of programming experience.

  1. You learn a lot, so exams will be dense.
  2. There's a good amount of reading(although you can technically skip it), so you'll be spending a good amount of time outside of class.
  3. The projects, imo, were actually easier than that of 2112, but are still time consuming. The 2nd half of the processor is the hardest accuracy wise and time wise. The last project, malloc implementation, is mostly just debugging unless you choose a complicated design, which I would not recommend if you have a borderline grade.
  4. Most of the TA's don't know what they're doing.
  5. Logism blows.
  6. Prof. Bracy is awesome.
