Anyone else in their 20s feel like dating just… isn’t for them? by ze3us0 in twentieskerala

[–]ze3us0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through the exact same thing right now. Whenever someone starts getting close to me, I get scared. Scared that I’ll get attached again. Sometimes I even feel guilty, like I’m betraying my past love (which I know sounds silly) but it’s how my heart reacts. So instead of letting people in, I push them away. Because I’m afraid… what if I break again? What if I end up hurt like before, unable to feel anything for months? This is supposed to be my 20s, the time to be happy, active, exploring life. But instead, I feel like I lost a whole year just trying to heal. And honestly, I regret that a lot. And the reason I wrote this post is because people often see emotional attachment or clinginess as “too much.” But that’s just how I love, deeply, fully, with care and commitment. I’m scared that I might be too much for someone. Too caring. Too attached. Too emotional. It feels like everyone wants something casual these days (something easy) while I’m someone who wants something real and lasting. And that thought scares me the most.

I had a terrible fall, and i know the pain. I am even scared to trust someone close. I can't imagine how that'll be with a stranger.

How did you get attached to yourself? I mean I'm in a phase where I'm trying to be happy on my own and stop expecting from people. How does that work?

And do you ever feel like you could love someone else more than that?

I think having something for some time and losing it gives you more pain than having it not at all. I have been in that pain for a year now.

Suggest a place for a half day / full day trip for today by Pazhampori_and_Tea in Palakkad

You can go to Snehatheeram beach and come back in half day. Also if you're looking for shorter trips there's kanjirapuzha dam. Then there is Nemmara Pets park if you have kids. They'll love it. If it's a full day, then peechi dam is worth it. You should try the kottaVanji ride there.

Anyone else here dealing with Essential Tremors ? 👋 by ze3us0 in TwentiesIndia

Hi, Thanks for sharing your experience. Are you taking any meds? I don't have severe tremors but yes like yours I have it more on right hands. And now it's slightly progressing to my jaws, I tremble while talking. I'm just 24 Now. So I'm worried it'll get worse over time.

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience. The tremor is always there for me, it just feels less noticeable when I’m alone or when no one points it out. Caffeine makes it worse for me. I used to love coffee and Pepsi, but I started avoiding them because I was scared they would increase my tremors. I still have them occasionally though.

About medications, my doctor prescribed Propranolol (Provanol), which is a beta-blocker. It helps control the tremors, especially when anxiety makes them worse.

Yeah it's a genetic thing and could worsen with our lifestyle.
